Silhouette challenge
11 minutes S'land!
The Sukhoi T4 (100) it is.
carson,
Sorry Mate - forgot that I need to PM you. How are we going to sort out your computer? I cannot understand why everyone except you is able to see my images. I have now stuck a "tell carson first" note on my monitor.
It's all yours S'land.

Sorry about the 11 minutes LM, it is one of the few jet aircraft that I have in my memory bank - usually I have to look them up.
Here is the next one, much more my style than these "modern" things.

Thanks LM very thoughyful of you.
It is also incomprehensible for me why I can see all images except yours. I also seem having sorted out the log-in problems
Cheers

That one very much reminds me of the Bristol Scout (am I obsessed with Bristols?) except I cannot ever remember seeing one with V struts, so if it is, then its a model I don't know
Carson,
It disappeared for me too, but reappeared when I pressed F5.
And S'land
PM for you.

OBAman, one cannot be too obsessed with Bristols, they are one of my preoccupations as well. However, this machine is not from Bristol.
sablatnic, seen it and replied, thanks.

Congratulations Graeme, it is indeed Denmark's one and only indigenous fighter – the Nielsen and Winther Type AA. It was of wooden construction and was powered by a Swedish 90hp Thulin Rotary engine (a Le Rhone clone). Its first flight was in January 1917 with ground testing for the synchronising gear for its 8mm Madsen machine gun taking place in 1918. Six AA's were delivered to the Royal Danish Air Force in 1917, but they saw very little action. They were withdrawn from service in 1919 due to engine unreliability. Prototypes for a two seat reconnaissance version (Type AB) and a float-plane version (Type AC) were completed, but did not go into production.
Sablatnic has pointed out that there is a replica in a museum in Denmark.
I think that most of us have access to the same information.
You have control.
Richard.

Thanks Richard. There are some photos of it in a reproduction of Jane's 1919 annual referring to it as a "Chaser Biplane." Just a nice way of calling it a fighter aircraft?

RR,
Oo er, "tell carson first" LM? RR
He never seems able to see my posts, so to be fair I will send him my posts via PM a minute before I post on the thread. I don't think that such a short period would give him an advantage.
