Gentlemen,

Nothing to do with the thread contest at all, but this is one of my favourite silhouette photographs.

It's evocative if you are an old git like me!

I don't know what is happening to this forum: maybe today I drank tomuch Chianti wine...
By post #2279 at 15.46 LM says: "open house! Then downwind in hot!" (I don't grasp the meaning but doesn't matter)
By post #2280 at 16.32 Obaman says: "Caudron but which one? I'll go 760
No image no line drawing no silhouette on my PC
By post #2281 at 16.40 Skytrain replies: "Beat me to it Obaman I would go for the CR760
then LM again by post 2282 at 16.57
then One11 by post #2283 at 17.05, etc. etc.
Now my question is :
What are we talking about gentlemen? I can't see a b..... thing
I think this is already the second time that you are debating about images I cannot see. What is the mistery behind it? Did forum rules change?
carson1934 PS last line drawing I saw was Skytrain's #2167 "Red Banner"

carson1934,

It's quite possibly a problem with your browser.

Everyone else seems to view images satisfactorily.

Noyade & Lightning Mate - both correct but Noyade got it first and gets control.

The only powered product by glider-builders Elliotts of Newbury and retained by them for, amongst other purposes, air-delivery of their gliders.

So much for the home-grown approach. Sorry Lightning Mate, 90 minutes of work shot down in 10. I guess it's back to the drawing board.

All yours Mel.

Thanks Graeme. It was a great conversion that Lightning Mate had done.
Here is a nice easy one.

Noyade,

"Sorry Lightning Mate, 90 minutes of work shot down in 10."

Don't worry about it mate - I enjoy contributing. I am quite accustomed to taking hours over a colour visual aid to use in lectures when it's up for only maybe three minutes!

Mel's Challenge

LM
This one was not a Boeing design. Although I am sure the B.29 had an influence on the design.

I recognise that one, its the transport version of the Tupolev Tu-64 which was also designed as a bomber. That one was not influenced by Boeing, but it was the design that Tupolev had been working on independantly until he was ordered to discontinue it in favour of pursuing the line of aircraft that began with the captured B-29 as the Tu-4 and ended with the Tu-95 Bear
