G'day Reg, Happypass and Ken!
.....and next time you greet people, remember I might be around too!

I fully expect you, if for no other reason than you are an Aussie, to defer to one of greater background pedigree and experience than yourself.

I remind you that I have done a thousand things that you can only dream of.

Have a good day!.

Definitely the same aircraft mate.
Well, looks like it is most widely known as the Terrier 200, as you correctly said (but you have the advantage of knowing the territory...)

I can only say in my defence that my search wasn't thorough because I read the whole thread a little late (say around 20.55 GMT).
I shamelessly profited from the clues "not American", "not European", "also in kit form", so I tried the google images query "kit asian ultralight".
Nothing. Added "aircraft" in the end and there it was...
Pure luck this time, I have to admit...

Gents, I would have accepted the Foxcon Terrier 200 or Buraq 200. The picture I chose was the Terrier but as far as I can tell the Buraq is essentially the same aircraft and has no external differences.

Therefore as Happy Pass got there first, Happy Pass has control. Well done. Sorry Graeme, beaten to it by 1 minute!

Graeme:
Ken, very disappointed in your attempt to solve the XP-87.
Sorry mate, I didn't immediately recognise it, and your clue said it was "very big"...so I was looking at "very big" aircraft...not little ones!!
Seriously I never bothered to look in the F/P sequences...my own stupid fault!
Nice challenge mate

Thanks skytrain!

Here's the silhouette:

I'll be around for half an hour or so, then call it a day and be back tomorrow morning, leaving the pic up for the night shift as usual.

Your light was OFF you over-sensitive bastard!

Heeeeeloooooo David!!!
I can only say in my defence
No need for defence counsel, just post a challenge, preferably WWII.

and your clue said it was "very big"
Nearly 20 tons. Beautiful looking jet, better looking that the Lightning...
That was from the first "Wings" magazine I ever bought. Griffith, 1975...wine country.

Sorry, too late mate. Next time I will, I promise.

Homebuilt/Kitplane?
Only factory-made, methinks... sources not too clear on this point.

First thought was the Refly Pelican, but yours looks more flimsy with strings and wires...

Don't really why I'm looking...I'm travelling soon. Won't be back till Sunday night....

Because I love to look! Especially through bathroom windows.

Flimsy, well, it's not as big as a Cat, definitely.
As for the strings, there is none: all those you can see are (metallic?) struts.

Hmmm...doesn't sound good mate. Even "Kitplane Ken" has gone quiet.

Just toying with ya mate. Very "strutty" then.

How many humans fit in that amphibian(?)...

silhouette quality
No, she's good mate. I sometimes think the worse they look the better the hunt. We use to have really 'grainy' looking ones from Doug. Deliberate, of course. I liked them.

(Don't tell David I said that, ok?)

Getting tired? Your free to go! I'm just crapping on.

Must admit its a nice looking machine...Lightning...wasn't that produced by Lockheed? Nice plane....I think an English company used the same name for something....can't recall what though

Time to turn in so I'll say good night to all. See you tomorrow
