Now that I have looked at the 3D and the picture again, I realize that I was fooled by the shadows in the tail.

The round nose distortion/disappearance was thanks to the picture angle and part of the fun.

Don't worry, I've been caught out too...it happens

Here's my next one to think about:

Is that rally a tail-skid, Ken? My first thoughts are Italian, dismising Russian and even French. Would that be a fair assumption?

Hi Martin....not really sure what it is under the tail but could well be a skid! Not Italian mate....but you may want to look a little more closely at the countries you've dismissed!

Evening.
Morane Saulnier M.S. 700/3/4

(Edit: since the picture is obviously from NauticalSun it portrays F-WFDD, which is/was a M.S. 703)

Well done HappyPass. Its the MS703 from France.

Martin, just to support your previous comments, the silhouette does it more justice than the actual appearance! Bit like some of their cars, great visibilty but not too good on the aesthetics!

You have control HP

Thanks skytrain!
Sorry, my pc is slow this evening... the hamster inside it is really exhausted and in need of some rest...

Anyway, here's the (easy) challenge:

Just pretend there is a wheel under each wing... photo quality in that area could be described with various expletives none of which is fit for this forum.

Edit: I'm going to post a silhouette from another point of view with all the wheels as soon as it's ready.

A hint is in order.

The manufacturer likes flutes.

Piper PWA-1 Skycoupe (NX4500 c/n 1)
Strangely enough Aviastar lists this one as a Piper PA-7 Sky Coupe, however manufacturer, model name and registration is more than enough information to confirm the kill!

RegDep has control!

Edit: I read now that PA-7 was the intended production designation, so that clarifies the issue.

Interestingly, the same plane with the same registration has been attributed to Swift Engineering Inc (Mark 400), Eclipse Aviation Corporation (ECJ500), and Cessna (206) as the manufacturer.

Well done. HappyPass has the floor. Please welcome him with a big hand

Thanks Reg!

Here's the new one:

Hope I didn't made too many blunders in the engine area... the upper part of the leading edge of the wing is also badly overexposed in the source picture and as a result the borders may be a little off, but nothing to worry about, methinks...

Well, there's a rego that shows Swift Eng. as the manufacturer has the Eclipse Corporation as the owner...
Wiki says that the Eclipse 400 has been designed by both Swift Eng. and Eclipse Aviation.
The Cessna 206 with that rego has been deregistered in 1999 (source is airport-data.com, since airframes.org doesn't mention it) so I don't think there's a relation...

The good things with internet is that there is so much information that one can delve deeper and deeper in whichever matter he likes to (and that makes HappyPass happy)...

As for the challenge, this time's not an easy one - if I may say so myself...
