Silhouette challenge
You have to ask me why it's interesting.
Because the caption that came with it says..."An English Sunderland flying boat attacks a German plane during a dogfight".

In 1937-1938 204 Squadron RAF used five Londons equipped with auxiliary external fuel tanks for a long-distance training flight to Australia to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Colony at Sydney, New South Wales. In this configuration they had a range of 2,600 miles (4,180 km).
Good Call LM,
Night mate!
Lord Stig, what do you think?
It'll be open house.
Well I thought it was interesting.
I'm going with Supermarine Stranrear....
How heard can it be to caption books?

I'd go along wih LM and say it is a London, sesquiplane, sponsons, struts, twin tail, raised cockpit and "bump" on the nose, all London
Don't think it's a Supermarine Stranraer mate, the fins are too far apart on your silhouette, go goggle

Bit of a novel URL, but it works! Just goes to show, if it's on the Web, then it must be true
Doesn't matter if the photo shows a twin engined biplane with twin-tails, if it's a British flying boat it must be a Sunderland, even though that's a four engine monoplane with a single tail Typical work of a bozo journalist and his editor!

It's a model, but the attitude is nearly the same as yours.
I'd say your image definately shows a Saro London, Waddya think?
I'm right out of images at the moment and have got an early start and a hectic day ahead, so it will have to stay an Open House. Nite mate, have a good day!
