Is the manchester knock route being dropped for summer 2015 not bookable and all other routes are bookable after march!

I have the same question for Waterford To Manchester

If you send a tweet to Flybe, you'll get a response saying summer 2015 has not been finalised yet and remaining routes will go on sale in about mid November.

Flybe are due to give their figures out on Wednesday (12th) for the last quarter. They're also due to announce a new base soon.

I'm not one to speculate but what about announcing a new base on results day?

MAN crew/aircraft currently nightstop in ABZ. With ABZ highly rumoured to be the new/re-opened base one would assume that it'd free aircraft at MAN which may suggest new routes/increased frequencies are to be opened out of the 'hub.' Can't see MAN-AMS staying at 1xdaily for example.

Maybe they're waiting on announcing those before releasing the rest of the MAN routes...

They are doing quite a few routes from DUB now, Exeter, Southampton, London City, and is it Inverness or Aberdeen too? Might be justifiable to open a base there

Yes Una, and they've said Dublin will see some future growth already.

What are the chances of further cooperation between EI and BE? After their war on BHD LGW and the episode of FR and BE boasting a Flybe Ireland which would feed on the remains of EI behind them can they do more together? Are there synergies? Already they are interlining which makes perfect sense.

The 2 have a huge mutual interest and BE cooperating with EI in some way may be a way to deter EI from expanding domestically Ex BHD ?

FLYBE EXPANDS GLOBAL CONNECTIONS THROUGH NEW AER LINGUS CODESHARE

Leading regional airline's 'One Stop to the World' passenger promise now extends into US and Canada

Flybe, Europe's largest regional airline, has secured a new codeshare agreement, this time with Dublin-based Aer Lingus which, with immediate effect, builds further on its proposition to seamlessly connect its regional customers with 'One Stop to the World' connections.

The partnership with Aer Lingus now enables Flybe customers travelling from Exeter, Inverness, Southend and Southampton to access, via a single stop in Dublin, an even wider range of destinations across North America and Canada. Aer Lingus' north Atlantic network includes 10 daily flights across the Atlantic to Boston, New York, San Francisco, Orlando, Chicago and Toronto. This codeshare agreement also extends to those travelling on Flybe franchise partner flights to the Irish Capital - namely those from Donegal with Loganair and Flybe's joint operation from Southend with Stobart Air.

Customers will be able to make full use of this partnership through bookings via the Aer Lingus website or through local travel agents and with just one airline ticket can be assured of seamless onward flights through Dublin. There is the added benefit that Dublin Airport also provides US Customs pre-clearance meaning that passengers arrive in the United States as a 'domestic passenger' and so can proceed straight through to the arrivals hall at their eventual destination, by-passing lengthy US Customs and Immigration queues.

Today's news builds upon Flybe's current portfolio of five existing codeshare partnerships, namely those with Air France, British Airways, Etihad, Finnair and KLM, along with 17 interline partners that includes Emirates, Virgin Atlantic, Delta, Air Portugal and Qatar Airways.

Paul Simmons, Flybe's Chief Commercial Officer, said: "Our new codeshare agreement with Aer Lingus is another exciting development for Flybe and we are delighted to be working with such an excellent and well-respected airline. I've done a similar search on BA using their previous BA Miles scheme, I collected them for a few years using Shell Petrol, tesco's etc. When I came to cash them in on a transatlantic flight, the flight was more with points than without. :ugh:

To me these schemes are completely pointless unless you're getting them for free via you travelling for business.

I think Avios are great, but unfortunately the reward rate coupled with the eye-watering taxes and charges make them next-to-useless on Flybe.

In my experience they come into their own when spent on long haul.

Next Easter, using Avios and my BA Amex reward voucher, I have booked 2 x LHR-NRT in BA FIRST - which is £10,000 of tickets for £1,200 taxes +Avios.

My routes are BHX-Germany mainly, and Avios can work there if prices are at around £80-£100 mark per segment (usually no more reward availability once prices go beyond the three digit mark), and particularly if you want luggage with you. That's included with an Avios reward flight.

But I cannot see how I will ever be able to earn sufficient Avios through FlyBE for a reward flight. Fortunately other sources of Avios are more forthcoming.

Avios offer great value especially in Europe with the "Reward Saver".

You can collect them all over the place including Tesco via Clubcard.

I actually convert Clubcard points to Virgin Airmiles (who also have lots of "Taxes and Fees" to add on top, but the miles really come into their own to upgrade from one cabin to another.

It's a minefield: "The Points Guy" blog and "Head for Points" are interesting blogs which can point you in the right direction.

The 'Reward Saver' deal is specific to flights through London by British Airways. For those of us in the regions, the FlyBe tie-up offered hope of some decent options from nearby airports. If, for example, I look at ALC with BA 'Reward Saver' I require MAN-LHR return and LGW-ALC return. That is 2x GBP35 plus [9000 + 15000? Avios] plus payment for a LHR-LGW-LHR coach transfer. MAN-based carriers easily undercut the cash element alone, even before one considers the likely requirement for a London hotel-night. And don't mention journey duration. Even the likes of BRU and CDG are poor value for us at GBP70 + 18000 Avios with a change at LHR. Unless one commutes to London, even 'Reward Saver' is pretty useless in the North.

I had hoped that FlyBe's 17 routes from MAN would offer some worthwhile redemption opportunities, but I'm not seeing it yet. 9000 Avios plus a higher cash sum than the standalone FlyBe direct booking fare isn't what I had in mind! Avios remain extremely difficult to use economically for those residing outside the South-East. Maybe we're better off with money off groceries.

Is anyone at FlyBe able to confirm whether the company intends to (eventually) offer some redemption deals which actually make sense financially for the customer?

You haven't quite got BA's Reward Saver right. On a trip via London you don't pay any extra for the MAN-LHR sector. So the cost of a trip MAN-LHR/LGW-ALC is £17.50 plus 7500 Avios, each way. BRU and CDG are £17.50 plus 4500 Avios each way.

I fully agree with you, however, about the downside of connecting through LHR, or having to do the LHR-LGW shuffle. Much better to fly direct.

Thanks for the clarification, Basil. I'll look at afew offers on that basis. Meanwhile, fingers crossed that FlyBe will introduce some practical redemption opportunities from the regions.

2 based aircraft then? Still no news on NQY-SEN yet. Hopefully that will continue as well.
