Thanks for your reply, hope they do!

This is probably one of the most important summer timetables for Flybe financially for a number of years, especially in the middle of the turnaround so no surprise it's later than normal.
It will also have to take account new Q400's coming in from Republic and what impact that has, maybe new routes etc so I expect that, as before, they will issue a base schedule which will be added too at some point. |
What are people's thoughts for flybe @ NQY for summer 15?
Could it be the rumored new base ? Routes ? PSO? |
What are people's thoughts for flybe @ NQY for summer 15? Could it be the rumored new base ? Routes ? PSO? cs Perhaps the question is; At which airports do Flybe have a large operation but no base? |
ABZ was one of the small bases closed, but at which Flybe will have an enhanced presence this winter, what with LCY, EMA & the Fly Shuttle JER/SOU/LBA added to the existing offerings. Will be interesting to see how they get on.
|
If a new base is on the cards, Dublin has to be a contender. They will have major presence going forward and Flybe have said already that more expansion will take place at DUB.
|
Flybe's franchise partner Loganair's summer 2015 schedule is now been loaded, Stobart Air's have not been loaded at this time.

DubLcy today
2 round trips cancelled, , not a good start for business passengers with choices?
Ah tis fog, WX and BACF also xxld ! |
Poor vis reduced flow rates to 4 movements per hour at LCY this afternoon
|
Yes a few people have made quips against Flybe today without realising that actually there is a flippin good reason

BBC News - 'Drunk' Flybe pilot arrested before flight
One too many during the NQY night-stop? Not good from a service or PR perspective, having just been awarded the PSO. Also, to point out, there is a discussion already running regarding this incident in R & N here http://www.pprune.org/rumours-news/5...-aircraft.html |
Wycombe
To assume and portray that crews routinely hit the clubs/pubs/bars whilst nightstopping in NQY is simply naive and irresponsible. Nothing is ever as black and white as "he/she hit the bar all night and got drunk, then went to work" like you are portraying. Lets wait for the facts, hey. |
I didn't think I "assumed and portrayed" anything, I merely asked a question.
|
I think you made a cheap assumption to be quite honest.
|
Hmmm not sure I would agree Deano but we all interpret things in different ways I guess :)
Quite surprised though given it being a smaller crew community looking after the NQY flights - I am sure it's been a bit of a surprise which will be dealt with in an appropriate way so we can close this news story and move on to something else now. Does anyone know what other aircraft Flybe are using at the moment? Have seen a Loganair Saab2000 going around on the Flybe routes (as opposed to normal loganair routes) |
Stobart ATR 72 operating LPL-IOM at present rather than the Q400

Sorry (again) Deano that you think I made a "cheap assumption".
In no way am I suggesting that a night of binge drinking took place in NQY. Like I said in my original post, one (or maybe even a half) might be too many. If we take it at face value, the BBC report suggests that "officers were alerted after a fellow crew member became concerned". I will leave it there before I am accused of further stereotyping. |
You don't have to 'leave it there', it's a discussion forum afterall. I just felt that you are assuming that just because a flightcrew nightstop it means they are out on the tiles all the time. Anyway I'll leave it there because I cannot comment or give an opinion on anything to do with this case so all I will say again is that whilst an individual was pulled off the flight I think it's prudent to wait for the report as to why & how it happened and not just assume he/she was out on the tiles because it was a nightstop.
Over and out. |
