Quite a few cancellations and delays at SOU. Anyone know why?

Heard combination of Wx issues, Crewing issues and tech issues

Not looking great tonight either with diversions heading to CWL, EXT and BHX from VRN, ALC and AGP respectively.

WDL Aviation flies for Flybe to destinations in UK

Why does Flybe need to charter in from WDL ? Shortage of aircraft doesn't sound like a particularly good reason - I suspect some deeper reason is behind this

Brace yourself for wrong airport jokes !!

anyway I think they are preparing for another exodus of crew to avoid bad PR again over canceled flights.

Fly757X 31st Jul 2019 08:18

They're also taking an ERJ from LM based in GLA too by the looks of things.

I don't know, but since both the leases are wet leases, then crewing issues may to the fore.

PDXCWL45 31st Jul 2019 08:35

I'm surprised that they haven't wet leased from Stobart Air? Or are their aircraft tied up?

SWBKCB 31st Jul 2019 09:11

Probably to do with getting rid of the costs of an outlier station like Dusseldorf.

I've flown WDL several times when I used to live close to CGN on private charter flights and I'm now flying with them from LCY to DUS tomorrow evening and back again on Sunday afternoon. I am a bit peeved that Flybe haven't had the courtesy to let me know that they have subbed out the flight.

there is a legal requirement to tell passengers at the first opportunity .... so I would have expected them to e-mail you

My mum has a BHD-GLA booking that's been subbed to Loganair and got an email letting her know.

No, an email, which I did get. First flight in a Loganair jet for me, and after the 146 I never thought I'd be saying that!

Its the same with their flights from Cardiff. They don't do any announcements in Welsh either unless a crew member is a Welsh speaker.

Since when is DSA not an operating base? :D

I flew between AGP and DSA back in June and the aircraft was delayed after allegedly being struck by an airbridge in CDG the day before. They're using this as an excuse not to pay out despite the flight being scheduled over 24 hours after this incident. Frustrating to say the least.

Bostonair has a base there to support flybe operations this is 100% as I audited them on behalf of Flybe last year, chancers.

Easyjet joining BHX - GLA

Easyjet to join Flybe on what is quite a big route for the incumbent between BHX & GLA. Didn't see that coming...

Nil further 14th Aug 2019 16:38

its about time and rumour is we're going MAN as well .Both places a nightmare to get to from GLA and the famous flybe reliability makes it a lottery if you'll ever arrive close to the time stated.
