From what I'm hearing then it will be back before too long, but I am not sure what you'll make of the size and shape it takes!

Are EI restarting DUB flights? Listed as a destination on their page but not bookable and no timetable yet?

EI seem to be relaunching DUB from a variety of U.K. & European Airports, they only announced LPL & BES last week. Not heard anything about CWL yet though.

I believe these were listed as part of the 6 Nations flights they had on there, and probably hasn’t yet been removed would be my guess…

Amazing advertising by CWL announcing the reinstated TUI flight to SSH for 2024…..not !

With good news few and far between for CWL surely they should update their website with this news……

Well I thought that would have been one of the main priorities. Before anyone starts, yes it has only been announced this week I know but the lack of “news” on the website is quite shocking compared to other airports !!!

Give it time. People are still only thinking about summer 23 holidays.

True but when good news about routes and destinations are few and far between they need to at least announce it on the webpage…..

I agree they should showcase but with only 4 departures it’s probably not high on their agenda.

great news! Good to be marketed as AF too. Not too many connections available at Orly with AF but will hopefully raise awareness for both outbound and inbound passengers.

(better fit A/C too)

Much more suitable aircraft to use on the Paris sector, the A321 was way too big.

I wonder if we will see more from Eastern at CWL and whether CWL can strike up a good relationship with them over the years going forward.

With no real completion on most routes, Eastern would be a good partner for CWL expansion notably to NCL, JER & GLA perhaps. Some people may question their pricing and reliability etc from past experiences but the Paris fares are quite reasonable.

Great to have Paris back on the departure board as starters.

It's entirely possible, but Eastern are notorious for chopping and changing routes, opening and closing bases. How they're still going with their model is amazing.
That being said, CWL can't be too choosey and if the deal is there, i'm sure T3 would take it. T3 left NCL years ago and only managed a J41 on the route.

Maybe a case of T3 warming the route up and attracting core punters before AF/HOP take over as part of U.K. hub connectivity in to Paris. However, would imagine this would come from CDG, not ORY!

But with the slashing of domestic air travel tax who knows how things could pan out.

At that time too especially the NCL route was limited to the J41 and they only had 2 AT7 in fleet then and they were tied up on oil related flights (I think) from ABZ.

Agree with you though about how notorious T3 are with opening bases/closing bases etc but kind of think CWL maybe a good choice given the lack of competition……as long as they don’t do BUD, BFS, DUB & maybe EDI (although I’d have thought Loganair would have gone x2 daily by now) the rest of the U.K. and regional Europe is for the taking really.

Regarding the new Air France flights operated by Eastern Airways…considering they start in just over 2 weeks time, they are still only for sale on Eastern Airways and not Air France.

Just tried booking the route on the AF website and it is only offering flights with 2 connections via AMS or NCE !!

Would have expected AF to have added to their booking engine by now !!
