What was noticeable in the photographs of the young staff members was that there wasn’t a single white person in any photo. Are the Ethnic English frightened of an early start, long hours, low pay and working weekends and bank holidays?

They are British. More likely a deliberate policy to recruit only people from certain backgrounds. Luton has a very high Eastern European population who have a strong work ethic. Seems they were excluded as well if people were recruited based on their skin colour.

A lot of extrapolation from one set of pictures. Get yr head out yr papers and look around the schools, hospitals, shops, airports (!) etc and you see lots of "Ethnic English" who aren't "frightened of an early start, long hours, low pay and working weekends and bank holidays"
Anyway, back to aviation

Anyone like to hazard a guess how much the Dart debts increase for every month the service is further delayed now that they are paying staff to sit at home playing on their playstations rather than working at the Dart stations?
No doubt small change compared to the big picture.

Looking after the regulars. Ryanair have gained a few slots also. New destinations Cologne and Frankfurt with some oddities including Vueling operating some flights. All will be revealed in the fullness of time plus also some additional ad hoc slots available for sports charters etc.

Holidays or food, light and heat? For those that live on the margins many will be making choices soon with Luton impacted by consolidations come next year regardless of new routes.

Consolidation by who/whom? Wizzair in a slightly weaker position this week after shareprice drop due to departing CFO.
New Saudi routes are interesting from EU base, might we see such routes from LTN one day?
Ryanair & Easyjet applied for loads of more slots W22, not approved so they do not agree.

Not just going to impact Luton but I fail to see how a full recovery will happen. We're going into a recession, inflation is going through the roof and 50% of UK households are forecast to go into fuel poverty in the autumn. That's going to hit the ability of many to go on holiday and travel by plane.
