I started work airside in 1986 and my camera was always busy (but these days on the airliner front it could almost be retired!)

Ok, found it from EGGW Flight Ops
No ad hoc movements will be permitted including Commercial, GA and Maintenance between 2200-0559 GMT 14th June – 16th September
Usual hourly slot quotas though but back to 24hr for the FBOs (sorry SEN).

[QUOTE=pabely;11294229]Got to agree with that. Expect restrictions at NHT & STN with traffic overflowing to other airports. LHR could benefit as it has capacity and does not affect current pax

I doubt many London airports are that keen about the prospect of large numbers of VVIPs flying into London.
You have a very large number of extremely demanding customers, all turning up at once, with very little chance of much repeat business in the next few years. The complete opposite of what most businesses want - namely a consistent or long term predictable level of demand from customers who buy the product regularly.
The aviation industry struggled big time to cope with the return of mass demand to fly after Covid

I would assume that the usual Netjets, Vistajet & Air Hamburg will have to go somewhere else than NHT unless carrying said VVIPs so Luton could benefit from those. NOTAM tomorrow between 12:00 & 20:00 effectively closed to all but HRH traffic.
Also STN cannot accept any Northside diversions so any late Farnborough arrivals are likely to be directed towards Luton or beyond.
Any medium term metal might be asked to relocate to another airfield for a few days.

I would expect that they will take any execs they can. A one or two night stop is better than nothing. Some might just drop off their vips and then park elsewhere.

Also, invitations ask as many as possible to use commercial flights to ease congestion and emissions.

That doesn't count in the world of FBOs

I am hearing the airport will be closing for a small part of Sunday afternoon, during the funeral and again on Monday and Tuesday.

Small airport with few acres. Spotters beware!

I know, so it will be closed twice on Monday? Begs the question apart from the funeral why does it need to close at all. Don’t remember Stansted closing when Air Force one uses Stansted.

Sunday closure now showing as a NOTAM. We will see if any other dates are added.

If I interpret the Notam correctly, closure is on Sunday from 1845-1915, I assume UTC. There is a minutes silence at 2000 local.

Hard to put in other Notams as dignitaries could arrive early or late.

Just noticed that some easyJet German from Luton haven't been running, I know these were running before the pandemic, but didn't realise they'd been dropped.

Luton-Berlin
Luton-Munich
Luton-Dortmund

Luton-Madrid was dropped but is resuming this winter. Are there any others which were dropped and haven't returned?

Germany isn't really served at all from the airport now. And no flights to Scandinavia with any carrier either, would be good to see Flyr tapping into this unserved market.
