Surely enough - we know there is fog in south eastern England. We know SEN is badly affected. LHR, LGW, LCY and Biggn Hill have all been affected too. The weather is changing later tomorrow so let's hope we can move on to other topics soon........ any rumours to share out there....?

G-EZOW
Expressflight ... I see G-EZOW is working out of Luton currently on the Belfast route was this A/C ment to be based at Southend as you said it was due for delivery into Southend during the fog closure ?
That's right, due to wx on Monday easyJet positioned A320, G-EZTT, to SEN and the new aircraft was later delivered to LGW. I see that 'TT has positioned SEN-ORY this afternoon and have no idea what will replace it at SEN.

They don't even need 3 based aircraft at times, today for example there are just 3 flights which seems a bit pathetic. Thought AMS could at least sustain 2/3 daily, and maybe the other routes could be operated? 1 flight for each aircraft in a day seems very dissappointing.

Whilst I thought it might be to increase capacity and the convenience for business travellers, the increase is probably down to the smaller ATR42 now operating all the routes as opposed to the 72.
Also I see an EZY aircraft had a bird strike this morning departing SEN, diverted to STN then pax used a different aircraft to travel onto ALC.

September 15th from when i first saw Southend-Paris by easyJet on this thread

A320-214S G-EZOR operated AMS-SEN yesterday evening and is operating the ALC and ACE flights today. It's expected to be SEN-based to give 1 x A320 and 2 x A319 as the winter based fleet.

Thanks for the info Expressflight.
Hoping the weather plays fair next week.
It's my first time using Southend, Stansted has become a victim of its own successes far to busy for 0700 departure.

The Skywork service between SEN and Berne does not seem to have appeared on the SEN website Arrivals / Departures screens either yesterday or today. Does anyone have any news or information as to why? I thought it was scheduled to operate on Thu / Fri / Sun / Mon currently? I apologise if I am mistaken on any of this.
There seem to be a number of flights that are 'nonop' between now and 19 November when things seem to get more back to normal. The next bookable flight seems to be next Thursday which suggest that loads are not exactly great, but no real surprise there with the LCY service now being double-daily.

Bad news....
Flybe are commencing LCY-Rennes on 18 July 2016, seemingly to compete with the SEN route. With the withdrawal of Munster at Christmas and the replacement of the BE branded ATR 72s with an unbranded ATR 42 that STK would quite like to use on EIR routes, this does seem to imply that the end of the STK routes at SEN will happen sooner rather than later.
Also, it looks like Adria are not coming back this summer All references to Maribor have been removed from the Southend Airport website, all mention of Southend have been removed from the Maribor Airport website and Adria have released their summer schedules with no mention of Southend or Maribor.

I wouldn't lose all hope of MBX returning next Summer, Adria are still pondering on basing an aircraft there next year.
Flybe (S16)
RNS - 12x weekly
GRQ - 8x Weekly
CFR - 5x Weekly

With SEN-RNS being double-daily every day except Tuesday and Saturday throughout the summer I guess that should be effective competition against LCY-RNS with M-F flights from 18th July until 4th September only.

Rennes flights
I can't help thinking that Flybe hate Stobarts/Southend airport.
First the Dublins, then the Newquays, and now they want to
compete with Rennes and CDG from London City.I wish I knew what the problem is.
