I think WAT-SEN is unlikely with WAT-LTN being much more likely by Flybe themselves perhaps - that being the more sensible LON arrival airport.

Not Flybe and unlikely SEN. Apparently a Danish company will be providing aircraft, crew and maintenance with website, marketing etc locally operated.

Wonder if Danish Air Transport fit the bill.

Time will tell. Not seen the article myself yet.

DAT operate A320 family. Alternative could be JetTime. They operate ATRs and 737s. Have recently done work for BA and will be dropping their ATR flights for SAS as apparently they were having some financial troubles.

DAT operate a fleet of 42 and 72s as well.

Anyway it rules out SEN

Does the fact that Cityjet's old boss now being named boss of Flybe have anything to do with the whole Cityjet/Stobart deal being canned.

I doubt it. She left Cityjet a while back. She was in charge when Air France owned it. She then stayed on but left not too long after they were sold.

go to book one of the flights and it comes up as a seat plan with 88 seats. Perhaps stobart air are going to make use of some of the 175's

TWS123 beat me to it. All the air fares look very reasonable too. It shows that there will be 6 rotations on Mondays Thursdays Fridays and Sundays, and 5 rotations on Tuesdays Wednesdays and Saturdays. These are in addition to the 3 existing routes to Rennes Caen and Groningen. I wish them big success.

Oh dear, at first glance all of those routes are covered by either easyJet or Ryanair or both from Stansted. Unfortunately I just cannot see this working especially on the E175 if that is the case with prices having to be significantly higher to make the operation pay its way. As for Zadar Ryanair will blow you out of the water on that route with limited appeal for UK residents. Sorry to be so negative but that is my humble opinion.

Why has Zadar limited appeal? This route was operating up to six weekly during the peak summer season from STN.

An interesting mix of routes, and as tophat27dt says the prices are reasonable. With some of those low frequencies hopefully it shouldn't be too hard to fill the planes.

A quote in the Independent say E195s to operate the routes, whilst another article says "More routes are expected to be added." probably the 6 we're missing out of the originally quoted 18.

Good news indeed for London Southend. Go for it!

Strange we've not heard from canberra97 yet - no doubt he will have something positive to say on this news. (post 3391)
And those 'so called' experts will be seen as being foolish on the 23rd December.

That certainly is an E175 seat plan although I thought they were going to use another type initially - we shall see.

Zadar makes perfect sense to me, fares there are often very expensive.

The surprise for me is Lyon, as this will step on EZY's toes a bit come winter.

If there are more routes to come, I wonder if they are waiting on the outcome of the Derry PSO?
