[QUOTE=No-More-Bullschit;9664932]It's been discussed on here before there is no-one else, others would have closed the doors long before now.

And I've asked the question before. ... "so why have peel kept it open then"?? If u don't know then why say it.....

Maybe somthing in the contract that peel have to keep it open for so many years??? Who knows??? But if ur so sure everyone else would have shut it... "over to you" I along with several others on here would like the know, seen as your throwing the comments about?

Same applies to you, is the whole point of this forum not saying things you don't know? The anti-airport trolls do so a lot more than the rest...

Don't think it's anti airport. More like anti PEEL,take a step back and take a long hard look at how they have been custodian s over what was once a potentially thriving concern...that's the reason you get these so called Anti-airport "trolls "as you call them on here..it's frustration, desperation and lack of concrete hope for the future.

I'm certainly passionate about the place, as been going up their for nearly 50 years.. and never seen it so bad, 'and not an airport troll as you put it'... but it seems with an expanding population and our neighbours passenger figures going up all the time... then surely the demand is their, 'if peel want it'

I'm not a great lover of peel, (I'll admit) but I cant blame them for getting it at a knock down price, 'the councils fault' but I'll be the first to come on here and praise them if they turn it around, but to say things like 'it would be shut if anyone else had it' is the same as me saying if anyone else had it then we'd have a based airline with a couple of million pax going through the terminal.... who knows. TOSH!! maybe you should take the NO out of your username....

and as for this Masterplan... if its anything like the south side... I've been hearing this for the last five decades I've been going up their... with not a bit of earth moved...

This thread has become a very unpleasant place over recent months, mainly due to the only moderator who ever policed the thread and policed it bloody well at that apparently having retired (PPRuNePop).

It's just the same vicious circle month after month, pro-Peel vs anti-Peel, consequently the thread has lost 5+ regular posters leaving just the same handful.

If I see any interesting movements or aircraft worth getting down to see I'll keep posting them. Would be nice to see some people down spotting at the club, always happy to chat.

Robert..loss of 5 plus regular posters..what it tells you in reality is that these genuine, honest and very pro DTV airport posters have had enough and seen the light.
Surely otherwise they could have put up with the anti PEEL posters on here and continued to support a once viable concern?

You would love that to be true wouldn't you Highwide? Most of the pro Peel supporters stay quiet and say nothing and always have done

support a once viable concern?
when was that?

Might be time to invite Wizz back, but would it be viable with the current staffing.

Well at least you have the courage to put the "alternative " view!

As you said. "Pro PEEL supporters". Coffee smells nice doesn't it?

As one of only two operators through DTV. It's worrying to see the threads regarding Eastern..it's been building for some time...a massive worry for an established UK airline.

On a parochial note..,a third of DTV passengers use Eastern...what on earth would effect would that gave on the future?

Hopefully they will pull through this awful uncertainty and re establish as a major domestic airline...the government must scrap APD. NOW !!!!!!

Is that right - seems a bit high?

Also, the demise of Eastern has been regularly predicted for at least ten years - aren't they now owned by the same group as Bristows?
