BHD or BFS for EI(R)?
So what has happened to this big multi-airline announcement from Mr Ambrose?
Was pleased about the BA thing but surely we should have heard about AerLingus/Regional by now. Must have been knocked on the head? What are Shamrock going to do with the increased competition from Jet2 on the Canaries routes?
Have they still not released a winter schedule yet?
Maybe they have the opportunity to try a few new routes from BFS now maybe Balkans or Scandinavia? Try to turn it into a opportunity rather than a potential base-killing excercise?

I know EIN Management was in BHD on Wednesday morning... perhaps their plan is to run LHR from BFS until March then start everything fresh from April at BHD? I would say its too late now for winter schedules as people will already have booked with Jet2/Easyjet

It's ok if EI go to BHD for rock bottom fees but that surely knocks the possibility of US flights on the head, I doubt they could go back
Also can BFS management afford for EI to leave, I think the delay is due to BFS management doing anything the can to keep them, if not they better start knocking on every airlines door, possible monarch? Maybe that rumour of VS on Orlando is true, they could do a great W rotation from gatwick on A330

Would be great if they stayed at BFS and started to look at new routes
Clearly BA at the moment are not interested in code share as on BA website it is BHD that is offered
EI would be better doing four LHR per day, slots permitting, reducing the canaries by three weekly and adding in European city like Madrid or Stockholm
Still waiting on EZY announcing new London routes, maybe another plane based at BFS

VS to Orlando
Would love to see it, but can't believe it will happen...
What would VS gain? They would have to take passngers from United or Aer Lingus to justify opening in BFS. Otherwise, they would just be adding costs to cater for passengers who already fly VS ex LGW (or MAN / GLA).
United to MCO via EWR always seems cost competitive, and EI have the benefit of Dublin immigration, so I don't see many passengers who use those options moving to VS at BFS.
It's a nice thought, and I hope I'm wrong, but I can't see it happening.

Well there is a market for Orlando, EI obv don't want to take pax from DUB, so maybe since mon are doing charters to Sanford and can see load factors and BFS management will be desperately looking for new airlines if EI go maybe mon would be a good fit
Also did someone not say last month that VS where in BFS?

The only two arlines i can see joining BFS are MON and FR. Although FR would want in cheap as always.

BFS to SFB/MCO
TCX do it as well on and off so i doubt very much that VS will start a route there
There is definitely still a market for it because the flights sell like hotcakes no matter the price difference with Dublin. A full summer season would sell well at least, possibly could manage year round too!
Lets not get started again on YYZ either......

The Orlando market is a joke now at BFS, running only for a month in the peak season.
Although I wonder if United have considered a 767 on summer Saturdays direct to MCO?

Belfast City Airport (BHD)
FR have a habit of giving a load of routes to an airport then randomly falling out over costs and pulling said routes . So FR are not ideal !
