evening LHR rotation seems to have vanished for winter. hopefully a glitch in uploading flights as that would make things awkward for a lot of people (unless code share on the BA flight)

I cant see it on the site either but it is absolutely correct. I think the only domestic routes they will announce this am are LHR and LGW but I think that one of the journos at the PR event should ask what their plans for domestic services are in the longer term, if they are being honest, which they seem to have a great difficulty with, the impact on Flybe is serious.
have to say now, I told you so.

Good luck to them..
Disappointing news in my opinion.. is it possible to get refunds for BFS's car park, I have car parking booked through to the end of December for my 4 flights a month to LHR.. (thankfully held off for car parking for next year once the rumour started)

Nothing spectacular to get excited about then? Same boring old routes that are already well served. I honestly thought we wouldve seen a new european city destination.

The Aer Lingus press release hasn't given the full story. It is their intention to operate the additional domestic routes using 1 more jet and Aer Lingus Regional. Believe this was toned down at this time in case Flybe reacted negatively, not that they would now days, maybe under Mr Rutter but now the weakness is strong. Bye Bye flybe.

Wingo, I agree it's hardly bye bye Flybe at the minute. But when AL and the airport come clean and announce the rest of the schedule, EDI with a jet and MAN BHX and GLA with Aer Lingus Regional I think the world will be a much more difficult place for Flybe to operate.
This change, even when it takes full effect, just shows the total lack of strategy in AL. Having tried Aldergrove for 5 years they were considering pulling out of NI completely, but thought this would send the wrong message to their shareholders, so have decided to give the revised network at City a go.

Aer Lingus works closely with a number of partner airlines and expects transfer traffic with these airlines to grow through both Heathrow and Gatwick.
“We offer a seamless service, including baggage transfer with interline partners to many parts of the world in addition of course to the direct trans Atlantic routes we offer from Dublin Airport, 90 minutes down the road,” said Mr Mueller.

Flybe and BFS
Flybe Gatwick/Belfast route must be the busiest if not one of the busiest routes they operate in terms of passenger numbers and high frequency. They will never step out and leave it to Aer Lingus.
However, it would make absolute sense to have a 195 working ex BFS in winter weekends on routes like Salzburg, Grenoble, Gevena. This would allow for early departures and late arrivals. Hence, increase of utilisation of then aircraft and reduced unit cost.
Other route that operate from BHD without competitor and could move with little impact on numbers include
- Inverness
- Aberdeen
- East Midlands
- Cardiff
- Jersey
- Exeter
- Southampton

Although the move by Aer Lingus has been discussed for a while, with BA apparently staying at City on the LHR route I just find this inexplicable!!

Will the 3 a/c for summer be another A319? I know EI website showing an A320 but thats a default setting until they make the changes. Could an A320 get to AGP and FAO. A little suprised that ALC or PMI didn't feature.
