Also direct BHD - LCY. I recall them using a 146-100 in 2001 when I flew the route, and in 2002 it was on a Dash-8-200.

I wish someone would pick up the route again, as it's often an ideal alternative to the more mainstream airports. Try getting someone from Belfast (BFS or BHD) to the ExCel centre or Canary Wharf for a 9.30am conference start without having to travel the night before and pay for a hotel. LCY is perfect for that area of the capital.

FOO FIGHTERS!

Ok just for a bit of fun. Can you spot a familiar
name in this story?

And shock horror, not a word about the Airport to Sydenham express on any news site. Imagine if it happened at aldergrove, they'd have the BBC up to lambast the less favoured airport in less time than it took the guy to make a break for it.

Pretty shocking to be fair, anyone know if he got on the runway/airfield?

Sorry do disappoint Second Dog but all occurred landside.

Person involved is detained under mental health laws therefore no court issues at least for the moment

It's not the only thing has been kept out of the news recently from what I hear from my journalist friends.

Not like Ms Fawcett to moan about noise, that woman must have ears like a bat. Hopefully she will now start a campaign to have no concerts within 20 miles of her house and a complete curfew in Belfast from dusk till dawn. I think she must get NIMBY of the year award surely?

It's just a vague story I was told by a little bird, it went tweety tweety in my friends ear...

I havnt heard anything definite so wouldn't want to spread lies or untruths. It was so strange I think there was a bit of exaggerating so that's as much as I would say until I find out facts.

See menzies aviation are looking for staff for BHD.........seems slightly crazy to me for 6 flights day?.............When they dispatch the 6.45 to LGW and the 7.15 to LHR what will they be doing for the next 3.5 hours until the planes arrive back? Maybe they will be enticing BE to change handling agent

Doesnt have to be instant, with BA and BE going almost nationwide with Menzies I would be tempted to put money on it come renewal time, BA only hands out a year at a time I believe, don't quote me though.

BA usually awards 5/yearly ground handling contracts . Not too sure if any airline awards 1/yearly. Contracts which are 3/yearly are usually the norm.
