Travelling through today I see an 'Aspire' lounge from Servisair is coming, another positive boost for the airport
I wonder if BFS will get one now also?

Nice to see any development which improves the passenger experience.

Could I ask who is going to use it? Flybe have their own lounge, so have BA and I believe EI passengers use this as well

I was told by an airport employee that the flybe lounge is closing and will be replaced by this new lounge
Last time I was flying through Glasgow I was told flybe where closing the lounge there also
The new BA lounge at the airport looks very impressive now

I understand that BE are closing all their lounges - not that they had that many of their own anyway. I think most are being taken on by agency lounges such as the Aspire/Servisair lounges.

Heard that also about BE disposing of their own lounges. That may give a pay-per-use service at BHD now, should you be travelling on an economy ticket.

Also of note, would seem that Thomson are now using Volotea rather than BE for their Verona charters. Well judging by the flight indicator on their booking engine, changed from BE. Think that Volotea solely use B717, so a bit of variation come the summer.

Yeah they sold the slots. Either Aer Lingus from here or Easyjet from BFS.

I understand from tour operater that several airlines are going for the old BE VRN including EI and thst VOE is only one of several so i wudnt park up in IKEA just yet. A couple of Italian carriers mentioned. Final decision expected in nxt couple weeks. BUT if it does operate will be a v v rare bird indeed to NI

Kestrel_909

I wouldn't read anything into that at all.
I would read into either but 319's are operating on DUB and SNN LHR while BHD operating with 320 for quite a few flights of late. Can't be a negative indicator.

EI - BUD

All sources say it's Volotea.

With only nine weeks until the first flight I'd reckon things are pretty firm on the operations side. There's a fair amount of paperwork and ground-staff training to be done.

Four-month tour season.

When looking on the tour operator's website it says that Air Dolomiti have the flights. Suppose using E195s means no extra training for ground staff.

So can we assume that Topflight are using Air Dolomiti (Topflight have used them before for Verona flights from BHD), and Thomson are using Volotea for their Verona programme???
