Wrong thread really to be talking about flights to CEG from BRS.
However I believe it is part of the Airbus contract which has been shifted to BRS since the closure of Filton. I believe this is also the reason for the 2 x Daily TLS flights.

Thanks, it hadn't been updated when I checked earlier.
After reading the article it's difficult to forecast what will happen at Cardiff. It is not classed as a Flybe base however it does operate up to 8 flights per day from Cardiff in the height of the Summer.
The mention of APD has been brought back to the agenda here and which the Welsh Government should consider well before 2020 as mentioned previously.
If the outcome of this is bad for Flybe flights at Cardiff Airport it will not it will have an indirect impact for ground handling staff, airport staff etc as Flybe offer the most number of flights from Cardiff Airport.
Also with Flybe serving destinations to Paris CDG, Belfast City, Edinburgh, & Glagow we are at serious risk of potentially losing out on potential businesses setting up in South Wales in the future to fill our Enterprise Zones.

Where as you can never be sure, their press release states:
Hopefully no bad news for CWL, although the media always prefer scare stories and bad news!

*Appreciate Mathers has already linked to this via WAF, have linked to original source file as is best practice, and avoids any potential accusations of bias etc.
Confirmation that there would be no change to its current route network, and that consumers will still enjoy the same choice of routes and airports.

You are quite right with the quote from the official Flybe announcement. Flights from Cardiff could remain unchanged or some frequnecies reduced based on that quote.

Flybe has now made a further statement specifically regarding CWL and they have said that jobs and services from CWL will not be impacted during this re-structure. Just seems as though some journalists wanted to let off a bit of steam targeting CWL.
Instead, Flybe have announced extra flights for the Six Nations and are as follows:
Flybe | Offers | Six nations flight deals

£150 for a single flight to Cardiff for rugby and probably the same on the return to BHD.........don't think there will be too many jumping at that.
A group of us found it cheaper to fly to BHX and minibus it down

With the match on Saturday week, is it not slightly late in announcing an extra flight. I would assume that most Irish supporters who have tickets have their flights booked already.....probably months ago
Previously when Baby operated from BFS they had four extra flights and flights were available to book soon after the fixtures were announced

Cardiff Airport hit's the headlines once again.
Ashley Fox a Conservative MEP for South West England has asked the European Commission to investigate the Welsh Governments proposal to buy Cardiff Airport. source
Also
Wales' hopes of bringing Euro 2020 football matches to Cardiff have been dealt a blow following reports that UEFA will only consider choosing host venues served by two airports. source

Pembrey airport with it's 797m runway and b'gger all else? ... Yeah right!
How about Cardiff City (EGFC) with it's 300m runway? ... T'will serve about as much unusefulness as Pembrey any day of the week!

As the annual rugby matches well prove Cardiff does have a 2nd airport and the rugby flights do well use Bristol not only through lack of airport facilities at Rhoose but due to a lack of suitable crew accommodations for the crew's split-duties or minimum rests.
Pembrey ... Yeah right ... I must remember that one

Yes, please remember where you saw this article first. Now, lets look at this piece of news from last year....
SOURCE-
Dubai money men could create 600 jobs at Pembrey Airport | This is South Wales
Others airport forums have mentioned some details at the end of last year, so there seems to be something going on.

This is so funny:
Dubai money men could create 600 jobs at Pembrey Airport
MONEY men in Malaysia, India and Dubai are interested in investing in Pembrey Airport and developing the site to create up to 600 jobs, says its owner Winston Thomas.
And since when have Malaysia and India been in Dubai might one enquire?
And he says Ryanair and 14 other airline companies have approached the airport to provide services if the airport's runway extension is completed.
C'mon them, name them, name the 14 airline companies that have approached Pembrey to provide services?
Mr Thomas, who himself has ploughed millions into the airport, says a new terminal is needed for future demands.
So precisely what has Mr Thomas spent his millions on if the runway remains at 797m and, still, a new terminal is needed?
This CWL thread gets better than "Hector's House"

I'm all for overseas investment that creates jobs in any part of the UK but the supporting link in #837 relates to an article published over seven months ago that I remember was discussed in some aviation forums at the time.
What has led to its being highlighted again at this particular time?

05/06 season the Heineken Cup final was held at the Millennium Stadium and had a large airlift when Munster & Biarritz were the finalists. (Attendance = 74,534)

Bristol Airport has been used as an overflow by many charters in the past due to slots being unavailable at the requested times of the charters. There is no reason why Bristol Airport cannot be used as an overflow airport for EURO 2020 or there is a possibility of St Athan being used and temporary terminals being erected in marquees.
