Hey Jamie, perhaps you could spare us a hundred posts of specualtion and just tell us if it's Southend to hack off easyJet or not?
AAARRGH!
Change of tack, seems to be Manchester or Gatwick.

New UK base on the cards
Southend could be a possibility to pee EZY off but i think EZY and their A/C would much better suit this airport... not that FR would care though.

New UK base on the cards
At last - are they credit or debit Could I raise the runway issue at SEN and whilst on the topic ask any technical insiders about CVT & 738s?
My assumption has always been that there are limitations at both airfields due to runway length (ditto @SOU but we have BOH).
SEN is 1605m - some 400m shorter than CVT (but I'm not sure if I trust Wiki's figures on CVT). Sen is 1723m.
I suspect MOL has a very good deal at BHX following the BACON exit but we don't know when that expired. I don't think they've taken much interest in CVT - and I think this is due to restrictions on destinations which could be reached in a 738. So if they were to return to CVT, it would be more likely to be inbound from another base, than the setup of a base with restrictions.
Which takes me back to asking why would they go into SEN, which is significantly more restricted, and which is almost as far from London as Coventry is, if only in journey time rather than fare!

Manchester / Doncaster / Newcastle
MAN would be interesting considering their earlier 'prostitution' remarks. But MAN have a much broader clientele than BHX, do they need FR? Or VV?
If the Northeast, why NCL over MME which is a much better fit to the FR model (but I've given my opinions on that in the MME thread)?

Ryanair new base is..
Manchester... Going after Jet2 apparently. We shall see. Can see there being at least 4 based.
On a side note, anyone know what is going on at bhx as a base. 10 units promised by now and yet they barely use 3 n half of the based a/c utilised. Fell out of bed with the new boss at bhx perhaps. Not suprising as we have had 10 new shops open and yet completely no new routes. Maybe becoming a mall rather than an airport....

It's got to be Coventry. The fees there will be next to nothing. A shack for a terminal, no duty free facilities, car parking on the cheap. What more could FR want?
They'll probably close BHX down (inshallah)

In fact I hope it is Belfast (BFS). Surely they must have been in negotiations there after the BHD runway debacle.

CWL ?
I think that Cardiff (CWL) would be ideal for Ryanair. CWL needs a replacement for WW, so the management there will be looking for a replacement. Jet2 talks broke down, so I assume that Ryanair must be looking in to it surely ?

Are there any plans to reinstate the other routes suspended / stopped for the summer ?
BGY was one that seemed to do rather well Last winter
