B767 to be based out of Banjul, for African Alliance

Looks like one B767 to be based in the Gambia, flying to Lagos, Accra and LGW for the summer for African Alliance

Summer 09:
1 x 767 operating Sanford
1 x 767 operating Canada West Coast
1 x 767 operating Canada East Coast (replacing the 757)
1 x 767 on Falklands

That's four and they have four. Where does the aircraft for a Banjul wet-lease come from?

1 to operate SFB/DUB-YYC flights
1 to operate remaining Canada flights
1 to operate MOD contract
1 to operate the Banjul contract

Was surprised Dalaman wasn't kept on
There is very little demand for DLM in winter, except in April

So is SFB out the window for W09 then you think?

Are all 7 or is it 6 737's utilised for the Winter?

Looks so far as though only 4 B737 required for winter so far, and not fully utilised.

I think EDI will have both a B73H an B73W, and the same at GLA. One spare B73H at GLA, and 2 will go ACMI

No SFB for W09. Will likely re-start Apr 10 at earliest for S10.

Fleet use for W09 is 4 A/C, with the other 3 A/C ACMI. B763ERs will be ACMI.

Recent news article in press about GSMs £1.3m profit last year had said that the scheduled flights will be reduced short-term for W09 to focus on ACMI work. Most flights will be back for S10, and maybe more expansion. Routes have been performing really well for W08 and S09 so far. Record Load Factors, and GSM still have no debt and had £27m cash in the bank at least in November 08!

ACMI= Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance, basically leasing of aircraft to other airlines.

Many a/c W09 by the looks of things for Flyglobespan i mean 7, must be looking to fill the bank account which can only be a good thing, hope the crews are prepared for the many places they could be sent to.

Just within the nature to be curious GSM Scot they are definetley an intresting airline to follow to say the least, and seen as how i sometimes use them once or twice a year on (SFB hint, hint GSM Scot). Don't work for them though.

Don't need to answer if you can't be bothered.

GSM Cancelling Tuesday Sanford Flights from GLA?

Heard that GSM (and not for the first time) are cancelling Tuesday departures to Florida from Glasgow during May and June?

Does not look as if SO09 is going to be any better for some passengers
