I hear VS are operating into SFB this year.... Something to do with them?

Very nice looking 767 with very shiny engine leading edges. Doesn't look like the "flyglobespan" font is the same as the rest of the fleet though, it seems much chunkier. Is it just me?
Wish GSM could get comparability in paint jobs so as each aircraft looked the same!
By the way, where did "GSM" come from? Would have thought FGS would have been more appropriate.

Very nice looking a/c. I think the font is more chunky carnethy. At least the 767's this year will be in full colours not like last year. G-CDPT had no billboard titles and G-CEOD had the billboard but plain white engines.

Is this new 767 larger than the others? Just noticed that there was 3 doors on each side compared to the other 3 only having 2 on each side. Sorry don't know much abut 767's.
Flyglobespan Boeing 767-306ER (N221LF) on Flickr - Photo Sharing!= another angle of the newest addition.

Any pictures of G-CEJO with her new winglets yet?

W09 program taking its time for being released.

Definitely a different font - much bolder than the other A/C.

The B763ER is due this week in GLA. It's ex-Zoom, and it does have 3 A/C doors, instead of the normal 2 at each side.

Winter 09 is due for release possibly next week:

Suspect it'll be as follows, with only 7 shorthaul A/C:

GLA - 4 A/C
EDI - 2 A/C
1 Shorthaul A/C on lease, as it is normally for the past few years.

GLA will probably see:
ALC 4 weekly
ACE 2 weekly
LPA 2 weekly
PFO 2 weekly
TFS 6 weekly
HRG weekly
AGP 3 weekly
BCN 2 weekly
PMI 2 weekly
FAO 2 weekly
SFB weekly/or cancelled for W09 (not sure)
YHM - time to fill the gap left by Zoom to Toronto, 2 weekly flight
New flights could include: Agadir/FUE/FNC

EDI will probably see:
ALC 3 weekly
ACE weekly
LPA weekly
PFO weekly
TFS 2 weekly
AGP 3 weekly
PMI weekly
FAO 2 weekly
SSH weekly
GVA 2 weekly
FNC weekly
NCE weekly

Not sure if there is any other routes that would work for W09.

Hi Gents, broke my duck and booked Globespan GLA->Tenerife for an Easter week in the sun. Was impressed by their flight times - don't come home at silly-o-clock in the morning on that route.

Will it be a 737NG?

Looking forward to giving them the chance to impress me ... very frequent BA flyer.

Whats the chances of the new 767ER being operated on the 1/4/09 (a week tommorow) GLA-HRG? Or is it being earmarked for going across the pond?

hey all just joined this forum and got a few questions for you , if you dont mind

I recently flew with flyglobespan
(glasgow - sanford,orlando 10th march)
sanford - glasgow 18/19 march

we had a refuelling stop (bangor) on the way out to orlando of about 50min
which wasnt too bad, now on the way back we were told that we wouldnt have to stop and refuel, however after waiting 30min on the tarmac in sanford, we were then told that because the weather was bad in iceland (couldnt understand where in iceland?????) we would have to stop and refuel in bangor.

sorry if that is a bit long winded but i was wondering if anyone knows if its possible for flyglobespans Boeing 757-200 to do any part of the journey direct?

*is flyglobespan getting a 767 to do the sanford summer run?

and lastly what happens with the 757-200 after it comes back from sanford on the wednesday, as its a weekly timetable on the glasgow-sanford route

cheers for reading

Believe from other posters that when the B752 arrives in Glasgow on Thursday, it goes off lease with one of the 2 B763 taking on the SFB route non stop

Is it just me that finds it somewhat unacceptable that in 2009 flights that require refuelling stops are being operated across the pond. Glad to see that as of tommorow morning the problem has been rectified.

Why is it unacceptable? Well i agree that it is an inconvience, I dont believe it is unacceptable.

Flyglobespan is going to do what is more profitable in the long run. The winter session is obviously much quiter and as such the amount of passengers per week doesn't justfy the requirement for a 767, it just isn't economical.

It's far better for the airline to lease there 767's out over the quiet winter session and operate the flight with a smaller aircraft to justify the passenger numbers.

You can't really complain. Im sure somewhere on your confrimation or the website, you are told your aircraft MAY have to tech stop.

Regards,

It is accepatble because of en route Weather if Iceland is fogged out or gusting above limits its not an en route diversion

Would u rather end up in the water 40 miles from Glasgow or a tech stop

?????

I Dont think so

The Airlines arefirst to be called but they have rules to obey

Next time pay 5 times the price via Gatwick

So Long

You get what you pay for. It's pretty simple, there are the option of longer established, more reliable airlines......or Scotlands Airline that isn't Loganair.

Flyglobespan

I think its probably in GSM interests to keep the 752, agree or disagree?

So is G-CDPT, G-SPNA and G-CEJM all parked side by side in GLA now? If they are, they would have a cheek to say no spare a/c in a delay.
