Looks as though gsm_easy is right - no SFB this winter from GSM.

Shorthaul only this winter, all B763s will be ACMI, and maybe 1 B738 ACMI.

Winter 09 SFB

The SFB flights are always last to be released, decent loads through this winter.

Give it a bit of time GSM have never been known to realease their full schedule in 1 go, even then a load of changes usually happen after.

Maybe long-haul wise GSM would possibly use a 737-800 or lease in a 752 possibly. Does this lease to mint airways have anything to do with GSM?

Think Dalaman will go onto W09?

Getting the feeling long-hauls out the window for the winter, shame too.

Within their letter theres no real mention of long-haul not even SFB. Then theres the economic climate and its looking as if they will only have 763's W09 which they might not want to assume they can fill. Though sould really wait until its released.

"EDI-SSH increased to twice a week next winter "

I wonder how we'll manage that on level 2?

A night stop for a couple of days would be a much better way of doing it - unless, no, not bullet trips........

Should be successful though, every trip I ever did was almost full - ie three seats free!!!

I take it, it will be resprayed aswell prior to returning? Or will it be operating in Oman Air colours for the summer?

Not enough time to paint it i'd expect. There's only 7 days before it's due back in service. How long does it take to paint a 737?

It'll be needing fumigating and a deep clean as well, I can imagine it's minging inside especially after operating from Chittagong. CDEG was filthy when it came back from KUL/DAC contract.

Will probably remove the omanair titles and replace with small Flyglobespan.com stickers on the fuselage

The aircraft inside and out is immaculate, in line with the rest of the Oman Air fleet. In fact, it’s probably going to maintenance in a better condition that any other GSM 73 has thus far!

If only we could look after our aircraft as well as Oman Air do!!!!

Conquest Vacations Ceases Operations

GSM had a partnership with this Canadian tour company to book the longhauls to Canada. How seriously will this impact the loads on the YHM, YYC, YVR, and YHZ flights?

"CDEG was filthy when it came back from KUL/DAC contract"

That aircraft was filthy when I flew last summer, absolutley black inside. Everything was encased in dirt the seats, the carpet, the overhead lights and switches, the tray table... you get the idea.

I hope its had a right good clean since then! It certainly needed one.

"The aircraft will be in full GSM colours when it leaves maintanence."

Good to hear that it wont be an odd ball in the fleet.

"Where is it going for the maintenance?"

Bacau I would imagine, thats where the rest have been going.

GLA - ALC (4 weekly), AGP (4 weekly), PMI (weekly), FAO (2 weekly)
EDI - ALC (4 weekly), AGP (4 weekly), PMI (weekly), FAO (2 weekly)
ABZ - AGP (weekly - W pattern)

This schedule will be operated by 4 A/C. More routes to come or ACMI? Missing Ski routes, BCN and longhaul.

Think thats pretty much it by the looks of things!!! Though you never know.

No long-haul over winter, think this is the first winter they haven't run long-haul. Well obviously since they started long-haul flights. Was surprised Dalaman wasn't kept on, seems Egypt is the main focus.

Pretty small schedule, but then the fleet has become much smaller.
