Can anyone confirm the aircraft type for todays LDY - REU? I had heard it was possibly a 763, but ive never seen such a large a/c on this particular route. Its usually one of the Airbus or 752's. Anyone know?

All TOM routes from LDY, PMI & REU are done by the BFS based aircraft.

LDY
LDY - PMI is done by the BFS based aircraft
LDY - REU is done by the DUB based aircraft
Both BFS and DUB have 1 based A320 each and no other aircraft type usually visit.
DUB-REU-LDY-REU-DUB on a Wednesday is the only Thomson aircraft operating to REU on a Wednesday so it would be unlikely if that was ever a B757 as it would mean it would have to have come from DUB, which as I have already said is a A320 base.

Hi all, regarding the CWL based a/c, on Saturdays I have seen 2 738's and 1 757 operating from the Airport, in the winter you ususally get a FCA c/s 767 operating to the Caribeean for Cruise operaters.

There will be no 752's operating into LDY this summer. Jamesc909 has correctly stated the planned operations at LDY for the summer!
The LDY-PMI flight yesterday was operated by an Air Europa 737-800, so God knows where that came from.
Perhaps the recent ash disruption required different aircraft to be used on the route.

I can't tell you about previous summers but as I said in my previous post the timetable for this summer suggests that DUB-REU-LDY-REU-DUB is the only Thomson aircraft operating to REU on a Wednesday.
On a Tuesday the PMI is operated by an A320 from BFS. The only other W-pattern on a Tuesday to PMI is the DUB based A320 that goes to SNN. Of course there are a lot of other Thomson aircraft to PMI that day, but none in the timetable could manage to go to LDY without changing the program. Maybe in the last summers it was actually scheduled as having B757's in peak summer period?
I was just curious to know where the 752's were coming from the odd time that they were required should it be for extra pax or tech issues.

Believe there has been many aircraft changes compared to the original schedule on the cargo timetable page. For example Durham Tees Valley-Palma is now a 757 rather than an A321 as originally planned. Still a Manchester W though.

Air Europa 737
Sorry cuthere, just a bit of a joke although a rather poor one I must say. Trying to be serious for a moment I get your point - donīt Air Europa have B737s based at Dublin - could have been positioned up due to lack of aircraft or crews. I noticed yesterday a Blue Scan B737-800 going into Luton on a ferry flight so TUI might be just a bit short of capacity at the moment or there again the B737-800 could have just going for a spot of maintenance - could not tell as I am 1,000 miles away in southern Spain!
I'm not really concerned what type of aircraft I fly on so long as there is a seat and I get there in one piece. My only concern at the moment is the problems highlighted by NEastMidlands as I am due to fly LGW/DLM on Saturday. Could there be a knock on from the problems in CUN and LGW or are we talking two different aircraft types here please?

What on earth is going on with Thomson punctuality. Yet more delays at Manchester with the Monastir flight 12+ hours late.
I appreciate they have had problems last Thursday with their B763 aircraft but I would have thought they would be back to schedule by now or at least have some contingency plan implemented.
