Surely Thomson have the money to get them out of canada and back to the uk as soon as the volcano lets up. I think that OOOX and GTBB are still there but not sure what else.

I do believe that the 2 A320's which are leased to Skyservice are to return for May 1st... the B757's which they also had and which will be inservice by this time (Hopefully) are...

G-OOBG flew back to the UK a few days before Skyservice stopped operating, so no problems with that air frame. I also understand that G-OOBH was due to be painted in MST, but this has been postponed because of the delay in transfer from Toronto

Skyservice Aircraft
When I was at YYZ on Saturday, there were six Skyservice aircraft parked - two A320's and a 757 at Fedex, two 757's at Cargo West, and one 757 at Skyservice hangar. One of the 757's at Cargo West was in TUI colours.
Apparently 4 aircraft (2xA320, 2x757) left YYZ late on Friday on return to Thomson. Headed for KEF initially.

I see that Thomson are operating about 75% of the regular Saturday flights today, glad to see everything is almost back to normal, I would have said all flights which are scheduled to depart from Monday onwards will operate with no issues, with flights being ontime to the schedule, EU, EV,BB,BH,OX should all be back in operation for the early part of next week, and these will be used to help bring people back to the UK, so the other aircraft can operate the usual mon,tue,wed etc.. flights

Are the other B752's which are still in FCA colours going to be painted into full TOM colours? and when?
Also have the ex FCA B752's had the interiors changed to the TOM as well, and if not when will that be happening?

Thomsonfly.com announced yesterday that it will be offering high frequency low fare flights from Cardiff airport, starting next summer. The travel company had previously only offered low frequency holiday flights from Cardiff airport.
In a move aimed at independent travellers who book their accommodation and flights seperately, the low cost airline announced that it will fly from Cardiff to Malaga and Palma five times a week, Alicante four times a week and Ibiza three times a week.
Guy Stephenson, Commercial Director of Thomsonfly, said, ‘We know that customers want choice and convenience, and we are convinced that our new low fare flights to these popular destinations from their local airport will be a great success.’

Mathers, Thomsonfly no longer exsists as far as i'm aware.............. Can't see it, they've been pulling away from the loco model in last few years, and it's Thomson Airways nowadays as your probably aware.

The mention of Thomsonfly and not Thomson Airways and the fact it sounds similar to what happened at Cardiff 3 years ago with the 2 X 752 and 1 X 733 based makes be seem sceptical that this is old news which somone hasn't researched correctly.

With the volcanc ash due to threaten the UK and Ireland airspace once again tomorrow and into next week I am wondering what is Thomson Airways proceedure in operating flights up until now?
Will they operate the outbound flight allthough their UK airport may close before their return. Or will they cancel both sectors if they can't ensure they will get back to base before the closure?
Was just wondering as i am travelling Cardiff-Dalaman tomorrow and it looks like there is a glimmer of hope to get out before the closure, however im worried the flight maybe cancelled if the aircraft can't return into CWL before the airspace closes.

Cardiff should be fine tomorrow, according to the BBC anyway, the ash now seems to be heading a bit further north than expected, e.g. Liverpool, Manchester, East Midlands, Newcastle, so Cardiff might escape it, if so the flight will be on time... For Monday, the ash does appear to be over the UK, but the wind is due to change on Tuesday, which blows it completely out of UK airspace as we are expecting high winds next week... this might come a few hours early, and so the flight may be totally unaffected, at the moment, its operating, so just check in as normal, unless you hear something, just contact Thomson and check for updates online to when the flight might be rescheduled if worse comes to the worst.

Thomson BFS - AGP was the only flight to depart BFS today. Is diverted to DUB on return journey. At least pax will be in Ireland though. This ash cloud has really proven how dependent the Island of Ireland is on Aircraft

Can anyone confirm the aircraft type for todays LDY - REU? I had heard it was possibly a 763, but ive never seen such a large a/c on this particular route. Its usually one of the Airbus or 752's. Anyone know?
