Not strictly a holiday destination, but daystops have gone into Keflavik in previous years.
Interesting place... No vegetation, and landscapes resemble what you might imagine other planets might appear like!! That said, a visit to the Blue Lagoon is a must!!
On the other earlier topic, TUIA's diversion into Lajes recently was a medical diversion.

They are 3 and 4 day trips and there is a new Thomson Iceland brochure out. Hopefully they will be from more than just London, and it's def Thomson airways flights.

iceland flts
there is a big draw of pax to icelandas airlines doing flts there are getting good load numbers.
easyjet started a service from brs in the middle of last winter on 2 flts per week, now doing 3 flts a week. started on a a319 now on a a320 with good load numbers. so with that i would think tom on to a good thing.
still dont know what the draw to there is. so
so good luck to tom with the flts.

Thomson according to my local paper suggests they will be announcing new destinations from Norwich Airport in the coming weeks
Quote from the paper
"The new weekly service will operate every Saturday between May and October and it is likely to be the forerunner of additional holiday destinations set to be announced by Thomson in the coming weeks."
Will be interesting to see where if that is true

Unlikely as they already operate, it suggests completely new destinations, but it wouldn't suprise me if they just increase frequencies rather than anything new.

One careful owner from new, full MOT and service record and only 75,000 hours on the clock. RR powered.
A bargain at any price for any freight company or low cost airline (Jet2?)

787 window dimming after lunch
Very annoying for passengers, G-TUIE 10th Dec BHX-CUN. Windows dimmed to twilight level and locked to make passengers sleep maybe?
This was 1pm UK time, 7am mexican.
Is this 'new feature' of dimmable windows intended to be used by CC to treat the passengers as kindergarten kids?

Thinking about it ... Next time it happens, I'll wait 10 mins, then call the CC to see if they can 'fix the broken window dimmer'.
Or is it better to plague Peter Longs email inbox about it.

Seems Thomson have decreased the frequency of some routes from DSA next summer, compared to what they originally announced, and axed a couple of routes.
Their contract ends next year, I wonder if they will stay beyond?
