G-TUIE engine failure and diverted to Lajes and so will need an engine change.

From Travelmole:
A Thomson flight had to be diverted to Gatwick Airport after a woman threw her prosthetic leg and food at cabin crew and shouted abuse at them.
Flight 297, which was heading from Enfidha in Tunisia to Edinburgh on Wednesday night, was diverted after the captain became alarmed.
The woman, 48, who is unemployed and from Edinburgh, was arrested at the North Terminal.
Sussex Police said the woman had been abusive and had thrown a prosthetic leg and food at cabin crew.
In a statement Thomson Airways apologised to passengers for the diversion.
"Unfortunately a passenger became disruptive on board and as a last resort the captain decided to divert the flight to Gatwick," it said.
"Upon landing, the aircraft was met by local police and the passenger was removed for questioning.
"We would like to reassure customers that their safety is our priority at all times.
"Thomson Airways operates a zero tolerance policy with regards to any disruptive behaviour on board and incidents of this type are extremely rare."

I don't think any crew member minds a divert for a sick passenger, it's part and parcel of the job to look after people and even where they've had to intervene directly they'll take pride in doing their best.
It wasn't the return leg of flight on the same flight either, both incidents were on seperate dates and both were the inbound leg, it wouldn't have been the same crew.

First Choice 767's
Hi,
This Sunday I'll be flying to Larnaca from Manchester on a First choice 767. Just a few questions:
1) does anyone know which 767 is scheduled for TOM2700(which reg if possible)
2) Has anyone been on a FCA 767 and can tell me what the cabin is like in terms of comfort, if the aircraft has TV's etc.....
3) can someone track my flight and tell me the altitude of which I fly at and which countries i fly over?
4) If the aircraft are reliable in terms of safety, previous incidents etc.....
Thank you to people that reply

If you look at this site a very knowledgeable chap called Dazbo will answer your question. THOMSON AIRWAYS ... Q&As : Flight Only / Airline and Airports - Page 341 ? Reviews & Holiday Truths - Holiday Forums
After many years I think I can say they are reliable, they use the 767s to replace the new 787s when they frequently go wrong.
