Jeez. You can't even restrict your trolling to the DSA thread......

G-BYAT, 20.6 years old, remember it being delivered and never had any significant repairs etc, she'll make a decent cheap old bird, just Thomson paintwork was was looking very shabby as been a while since she was painted (hint is it says Thomsonfly, so was a good 8 years since painted)

This is the Thomson thread. Thomson operate from DSA so the post is valid.

Rumours, news and intelligent discussion are all valid.

However, the poster in question has an almost obsessive negativity towards DSA, and has become something of a joke on the DSA thread where he is little more than a troll. Now he appears to be spreading his uninformed speculation to threads on those airlines that use DSA.

I really don't have a strong view either way on DSA's prospects and I have no emotional attachment to the place, but frankly it's becoming tiring.

I've posted two facts regarding Thomson and DSA. I don't see what the problem is?

Perhaps, TimmyW, if you backed your "facts" up rather than posting vague statements you might get a better reception. How many flights have TOM cut and to which destinations? How does it compare to the year before, for instance.

In other, more mature, news...

BYAT was parked up outside the hangar looking very sad and livery-less today, before going and flying some circuits around the Norwich / Peterborough area. Maybe an acceptance flight for a new owner? Who knows...

Thought Mr fantasy would have learnt by now that the 757s are not going to Jet2 and they don't want them, good old spotters!

They are still buying, why wouldn't they at least consider it?

Perhaps it's a bit too new for Jet2.

And I was the first to speculate that it might go to Jet2. It wouldn't be the first ex Thomson to go to Leeds.

I couldn't see Jet2 taking it on tbh, that said I don't know who would. Time will have to tell who will take her on, and hopefully it's not a desert just yet.

G-OBYE

She has returned from Shannon to Manchester, I'd expect a repaint but not sure on the configuration of her. Anyone know? Will she be based at Manchester and on short haul or long haul?

for Winter 2014/15 there is only one B763 planned to operate longhaul, G-OOBM. I would thus expect YE to be in 328 config.

Just a quick question about the Dreamliner, why did Chris Browne promise wifi and then not deliver it, or is it planned for S15 when they go on their second season?

Also has the recent window blind tinting became a standard procedure? Surely it's up to the passenger to control their windows, and their images should not be interfered with - I'll soon find out I suppose!

The 757s....

Heres one possibility that hasnt been mentioned...they could goto the new kid on the block with their new fleet of 757s...aer lingus via air contractors...perfect for them to expand with well away from ryrs interference.

Just to confirm that after a trip on the Dreamliner last week, window dimmers are only locked during landing & takeoff (as per previous procedure)
