G-TUIA started it's engines for the first time on Thursday so it may have it's first flight fairly soon.

From the line up it the TUI birds could be delivered 6th / 7th, but that may not necessarily be the order

Thomson have updated their Dreamliner blog this morning to announce that 787 longhaul flights will start on the 8th July to Cancun and Florida. They don't mention UK origin airports, so I assume that they will all start on that date, and will have at least 2 aircraft in service. No mention of any warm-up short haul flying prior to that. Latest All Things 787 blog update last Friday hypothesised that Thomson's deliveries would start in June - I assume it would need to be early that month to allow the necessary training and short haul flights (if still planned) to happen.

They've only got 3 now. The one aircraft in V1 has left the fleet. Darren on HT has posted which configuration which registrations are in.

G-OOBK/BL/BM, DBLA, PJLO are all in the same config, 258 pax, 63 prem, 195 economy in a 2-3-2 config

G-OBYF/YG/YH & sometimes SE-FRS (a Tui Nordic aircraft registered in Sweden used by TOM in the summer) make up the other 2 configs as they swap between the 2 depending on whether the aircraft is planned in advance of a long haul flight, the long haul config is 283 pax, 31 prem 252 economy with 2-3-2 in prem and 2-4-2 in economy. the shorthaul config is 328 pax in an all economy 2-4-2 config. It is possible in certain situations for the 328 config to operate LH to cover technical problems etc.

Currently there are 2 aircraft operating as 328 & 1 as 283, with SE-FRS being used as a STBY aircraft in a 328 config in case its need for SH

G-OBYD

Does anyone know what's happening to her? Is she sticking around or off to Arkefly soon? Another website has the jet down as going to Nordwind of Russia?
