I doubt it. Most of the CC newbies trained with a very large NI contingent and as such have seen a vast amount of NI currency passing over the hotel bar - most of it mine.
Flybe accept NI notes, in addition to Scottish notes as a matter of policy. An unfortunate double cockup from Disneyland in this instance I fear.

Flybe Dash 8 routes
Hi,
I know this doesnt quite fit here but:
If flying a Dash 8 for Flybe out of say Exeter or Southampton what would be the norm in terms of destinations, it seems to be about 70% domestic, but what would be the furthest outside the UK they would go, would it be limited to Northen France?
Also, are there any planned layovers at any destinations?
Thanks

Hi,
Good point about Dublin and Galway. My question should have been "What is the furthest south they go"
Thanks for that map Deano but I understand it shows all of Flybe's routes ie Embraer 195 routes as well which I presume will be the ones going to Alicante etc.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
Also, in general if anyone flys on the Dash 8 for Flybe, do you enjoy it/ would you recommend it?
Thanks for responses guys.

Perpignan is the most southerly of the routes from SOU. Longest routes are those into central Europe. Plenty of overseas routes from both SOU and EXT on the Dash, but no planned layovers anywhere on the network on any of the fleets. Barring technical problems, it's home every night.

Out of EXT - the furtherest south we flew the dash into Europe was down to Bergerac,Avignon(just north of Nice),Geneva and on one occasion last year it was also used to fly down to Murcia(this was the last service of the year)

Tiger Moth - take a look at Q400 Specs, you will see from the published range figures that the 400 could in theory operate Inverness to Malaga if such a service existed. However, the Company considers many other factors before deciding which type to assign to a route; CRJs on Belfast to Leeds was an exception to this of course!

I do believe that EDI-EGC was on the Q400 this summer.
EDI-RNS I am sure was on the ERJ, however there may have been a few occasions when it was swapped for a Q400 but not 100% sure

the Q400 will be used on the new Barcelona Reus flights also
When they're wasting the 195 in Jersey and Guernsey on the Gatwick rotations with sub 50% loads?

Does that seem a bit daft to anyone else?

Putting a Q400 permanently on JER/GCI-LGW would not be commercially sensible. It is great opening new routes with a Q400 where there has been no previous operation as people often are happy that the new service is being provided. Both JER/GCI routes have competition and this is probably why these routes have the 195
In JER, plenty of pax would shift to BA to simply fly on a jet, despite how ludicrous that arguement is!
In GCI there would be no significant differential between Flybe and Aurigny.
