Flybe Announcement
Dear Virginblue,
Commercial director has done press conferences in South West, Cardiff, IOM and Scotland today, and they seemed to have gained wall to wall coverage. Don't know where your coming from- A Branson-esque approach to a route at a time only works on longhaul.

Just been looking at the BE website and I see the fares to EDI and GLA have been reduced to £27.99 each way as opposed to £31.99 previously. Neither have they upped the fares for the early Monday morning and late Friday evening flights as they used to start higher than the advertised base fare. I guess maybe EZY are taking some of their traffic to BRS?

Why do Flybe bother saying there will be more routes to France from NWI, but when they open the summer 2008 schedule they don't show any new routes, if your not going to open anymore then don't bother saying you are

It's all a bit boring seeing BE start new routes where T3 are operating. Southampton seems a bit hard done by, only NQY is a "new" route for the airport, still no extra sunshine routes.

NickBarnes -You make a good point. There is strong talks within Flybe about new French routes from NWI......maybe they are separate to todays 'big announcement' and will follow in the next few weeks.

Does anyone have any opinion on wether they will base new aircraft in INV or just night stop crew. The MAN rotation looks like it originates in INV. And according to the web site it will be in 145's.

These are the same reliable, trusted, experienced and superb folk
Sorry but that just made me chuckle.......The E195 is far more comfortable for both passengers and crew so I am sure the traveling public in Inverness will be pleased to see its arrival when ever it is.

How about a route to the scottish isles?apart from Highland Airways and Loganair, there isn't much competition.I think that an airline with the fare structure of Flybe would do well on routes to SYY and LSI/KOI.But i could be wrong-what does everyone else think?

How about INV-EDI? Loganair schedule useless even if you could afford it; train journey 3.5 hrs+ and seldom pleasurable; this route at a standard FlyBe-ish price and with reasonable frequency would have to be a winner ... wouldn't it .... ???

I've recently started working in Jersey on weekdays, and I've had a couple of JER-LGW flights on FlyBe's E195s. What super aircraft - shiny and new, and bags of legroom even for a tall bloke like me. Very nice indeed - I think it's great when an airline decides to look outside the "usual" twosome of Boeing and Airbus for aircraft of this type.

Hello, just a random question for anyone in the know; are the E-195's likely to be used on the Befast-Edinburgh route any time soon?
