Does that seem a bit daft to anyone else?
When they're wasting the 195 in Jersey and Guernsey on the Gatwick rotations with sub 50% loads?
Remember that the NQY-REU is primarily a charter operation and the aircraft will have been assigned based on the market the charterer thinks that they can capture.
Putting a Q400 permanently on JER/GCI-LGW would not be commercially sensible. It is great opening new routes with a Q400 where there has been no previous operation as people often are happy that the new service is being provided. Both JER/GCI routes have competition and this is probably why these routes have the 195
In JER, plenty of pax would shift to BA to simply fly on a jet, despite how ludicrous that arguement is!
In GCI there would be no significant differential between Flybe and Aurigny.
