Lighthouse communications. Surprised no one has looked them up already seeing as they let slip the bmibaby move the day before the announcement too

I presume it is gonna be KLM as Lighthouse ni pr do state that a large number of new routes will be announced, therefore connections through AMS? Would prefer to see new direct routes. Could it be Monarch?

BHD

it is European... it says on their twitttter account when someone asked about it they replied, something European perhaps???. Its sounding more and more likely to be AMS with KLM. Wonder what the other routes will be if there is a large number. I think Aer Lingus Regional will try BHD.

If Aer Lingus Regional decide to operate from Belfast it will not be the city airport. They will operate from BFS.

And this would be the case again if Aer Lingus Regional came along for a few reasons;

1) Belfast City Airport is Central, and attracks alot of Business Pax.

2) Its easier for City Travellers (Weekends aways/Leisure).

But then the flipside ''consolodating operations to one airport'' then this would of course mean BFS, but this proves very unpopular with Business Pax, in my own personal opinion the EZY statement about leaving BHD was a load of c*ap simply because the route already began to decline before it was transferred from BFS, and if these figures where taken into account then im sure it would show growth in the BEL-LTN Business market.

But as Aer Lingus have stated, they make no commercial decesions for RE and if they were to resume BEL services, BHD would be chosen, EI would'nt give a care in the world because at the end of the day there brand will then be seen at two airports in one City, with EI gaining on the franchise fee regardless of how the route(s) perform. But I can confirm EI/RE are not currently pursuing any new routes from BHD.

baby planning a number of weekend flights to the Costas. Good news but hardly earth shattering. Makes a nonsense about the whole saga that a longer runway was needed when really it was only needed for MOL.
