bmi BHD LHR today ....
I was at BHD today Sunday and a bmi taxied to the end of the runway at 1310. It was G-MIDR.
Rather than take off it went back to the terminal. Anybody know why? By 330 it was gone.
Not sure what was going on there!

Thomson?
I dont know who will be doing the flights
But more than likely it will be Thomson with the 195 Wonderjet
Past press reports said another airline would use the airport if the runway was longer,so mybe next year
My comment about the City being the real internatial was fueled by a combo of flu tablets and lack of sleep, sorry
But most european holiday flights are by the minibus or the 737,so maybe once mr poots gets back to work we will know better.
the geese problem in the park was in the news again! now BCC say they may take action on people feeding the birds! well thats my other hobby ruined now!
I dont think the geese have ever hit a plane going in or out of the city.the gulls how ever have,as i once saw with a 360 of Manx. does anyone know different?
ONE FINAL THING!!!
I was thinking if Ryanair were to jump ship at BHD, would easyjet stay or go also and go back to BFS and look at it as a victory in reducing pax numbers at the city or would they move everythng down the road?

You can see it on google earth, its just north at the far west end of the main runway, behind the hangars and near the railway line.

BFS gets an A321-200 (Y220 config) from May-Oct, apart from a couple of weeks in late May / early June when an A320 is scheduled. Also An A330-200 doing BFS-MIR on Wednesdays and some peak season SFB/POP (A332 & A333) and DLM/TFS/AYT (B752/B753/B763) flights.
The SSH flights start again in September, also operated by B752, but the main BFS schedules are operated by the A321 this summer.

is the above all TCX related?
anyway, EI industrial action is over from today, so anyone flying for the foreseeable future shouldnt have to sit on the ground for 15 minutes first
and the TNT had to abort its t/o tonight... very quickly taxied down 25 turned right on 17 with an EZY aircraft landing extremely close after and went to the back of the queue for another attempt
