A number of summer 09 routes on sale from Jet2 today:
NCL-ACE / AGP / MAH / MJV / PMI / TFS

Are we to assume that all of winter is on sale???
I wouldnt assume it. They put MAN-MJV/AGP for this summer on sale back in Spring 2007 before any of last winters flights went on sale. i suspect this is to compete with the charters who already have next summer on sale

easy winter 08/9 on sale

5 based nice compact schedule, slightly different times on some flights
until Geneva starts.

Example - Monday in November

0715 BFS 0930 0705 BRS 0940 0800 PMI 1415
0955 ALC 1625 1005 BCN 1600 1500 BFS 1715
1710 CDG 2055 1645 KRK 2245 1740 STN 2025

0700 STN 0945 0815 AGP 1510
1420 PRG 1915 1615 BRS 1850
1940 BFS 2150 1915 BRS 2150

The AGP shifts to 0640 when GVA starts and then goes PRG & BFS

The STN then goes GVA BRS BRS.

No room for any more flights with 5 based - well at least not on a Monday.

Easyjet

Just two daily to Stansted from start of Nov, and more slack in the programme on Tu and Th. Think the end could be in sight for STN ?

National Express east coast have stated that so far this year 9% more passengers carried then last year.

maybe people are travelling more on the trains into the centre of london rather than using easyjet to stn then train ride in.

Will see what the figures are like for the route this winter

Give Flybe some credit too, the growth of LGW can't have helped STN.

STN

I think the increase in domestic APD to £20 is killing some domestic routes, it makes the train fares look so much better.
Timing?? Still early morning dep from NCL and late afternoon return? Not bad for business?

i seem to recall on a previous occasion some time ago fr went tech in ncl and needed a part, the part and engineers were flown from dub to mme on a sched flight and then ground transport to ncl, i recall the reason for this was no engineering contract at ncl however i am unsure if this is still the case but looking at todays delay (well yesterday now) it may well be.

Nasty looking delay on the XLA this morning too with the Tenerife showing on the Aena site as having a 22 hour delay!

There was a post here saying yesterdays XL Skiathos flight returned to NCL 2 hours after take-off and asking why but it seems to have disappeared! Presumably this is why TFS is so late, today's DLM seems to have departed on time, was this spare aircraft or did they just not do the TFS flight last night?

If this helps, B738 C-GOAF departed yesterday evening at 16:57, not sure where it was heading.

1657 departure was to JSI & KVA - a little behind schedule.

Both XL flights today DLM (departed) and RHO appear to be on schedule.

Presumable TFS is getting a replacement aircraft.

The XL TFs is being operated by a LGW Aircraft running about an hour late making a total 23 hour delay if nothing else goes wrong. Rest of Schedule being operated by XL C Reg A/c. Aircraft did return with an A/c Problem

What do Jet 2 currently have based at NCL - 1xB757 and 2xB737. Are any of those B737's Quick Change aircraft? And is it the same in winter as in summer. Thanks
