Most flights seem to be flown by A321s these days, I wonder if there too big for the route.

if there are any problems then the first choice for cancellation is the NCL service
What's new !

reality is that slowly the travelling public are realising that it is not necessary to have to suffer LHR when travelling onwards from NCL.

My understanding was that we got the bigger machine to meet the demand. I'm sure that if demand dropped the A321s would be utilized more effectively throughout BA's route network in order to maximise profit for Mr Walsh and co.

A series of 4 or 5 flights to La Romana in the Dominican Republic for some cruises and land based holidays starting Jan 2009 IIRC, using a FCA 763er

Someone feel free to correct me.

Are BA using A321s on all domestic routes now? Not be just NCL I would have thought.

EK regularly recruit for CC in a variety of cities worldwide, but actual employment will be located in DXB. Good news on expansion - must be doing well.

Viking

Is the MD83 not capable of departing NCL with a full load to such a destination as Heraklion? I remember there used to be issues with other aircraft on some longer Med rotations!?

Makes sense to recruit a few local cabin crew. Would save them money on stopovers as locals would stay at home. EK are charged around £50 per room at the Marriot, 7 nights per week, 365 nights per year. Would save them £18,250 annually for 1 staff member. I know they would be based in Dubai, but Newcastle is a 24hr stopover. So they are obviously looking to future expansion and cutting their costs on this route.

guernsey

Can anyone help me on this, I want to travel to Guernsey in August so was pleased when last week the flybe website gave Guernsey as an option from Newcastle albeit with a connection. Now its gone again, a week after it appeared.

with four flights to jersey a week, and flights to guernsey from dublin, paris, dusseldorf, but nothing north of manchester I wonder whether there would be scope for a weekly direct flight, especially if other flybe services like aberdeen are for the chop.

ECA are not the only airline that are experiencing minor delays to their services, AirBee have another delay on their service and anyone could name a dozen airlines who suffer delays from/to NCL. There will be a logical reason for it - delays don't just happen for no reason. On the subject of ECA - their wednesday night rotation and tuesday HER are all very reliable.

ECA

Eurocypria is on the whole a very reliable airline. It will be a shame to see them leave Ncl at the end of the summer if they do end their operation.

Hope they can sort out the Saturday problems soon.
