Palmair have had troubles this week thanks to the bee swarm that the 737 ingested on thursday.
Todays Brescia service isn't Palmair its for Italian Getaways. Palmairs service is on a wednesday.

Ryanair Base at BOH
It's not actually true that Ryanair will not base at BOH until the terminal is ready. We understood that BOH will only expand the terminal once demand is going through the infrastructure. Which means they need us first, then they will build to accommodate as and when we grow.

Yes, interesting that FR have applied for slots at Prague and for a BOH - PRG - BOH rotation. Either they would do this via a W pattern from another base, or possibly base an aircraft at BOH. If FR base at BOH I can see them going after nearly all the TOM routes, expecially the profitable Spanish and Portuguese routes. Could be the end of TOM at BOH in a few years. Hope it's not though as TOM have a far superior service to FR.
BOH will find out today if the new terminal plan has got the go-ahead from Christchurch Council.

Airport's £32m expansion approved

"A £32m planned redevelopment of Bournemouth Airport has been given the green light by council planners.
Airport bosses drew up the plans to meet an expected rise in passenger numbers from about one million this year to three million within 10 years.
Earlier plans to build a new terminal were dropped in favour of improving the existing site, with the removal of decades-old temporary buildings.
Christchurch Borough Council backed the work, which will take up to five years.
It will see the number of car parking spaces increased, a new access road created and the airport's terminal overhauled.
Work is expected to start within weeks."

Can anyone comfirm what will be built, I originally heard a new arrivals hall is the first building to be built. Has anybody got any further details.

I was told last night by friend who works in Tiny Town route planning department that Baby will not for 100% be making BOH a base. Which in turn reduces the chance of Ryanair making it a base.

eurostar builder- all the information is in the masterplan which you can download and read to your hearts content for free. Just go the the airport website and follow the link from the main page.
dumdumbrain- Are you sure that you've got the right thread? Tiny don't fly from BOH and there are no rumours regarding such. Ryanair have stated that BOH will be a base by 2012, hence the constent introduction of routes to see which destinations will be served by the based aircraft.

Talks were held with baby in about April/May 2002 if my memory serves me correct but nothing came from it.
With regards to FR flying from Bournemouth to Prague, I'm sure I've read somewhere it's from October 2007 but it's only one day a week???

Airlines apply for slots-not necessarily in order to launch those exact services-it could be disguise for PRG-STN for example. however, thomsonsfly are making a killing on BOH-PRG at 4 weekly - with much higher fares. That is what FR will target: rip off fares.
baby lost out at BOH by chosing Teesside - how irresponsible. tempted by governement funding i dont doubt.
Nantes booking levels are OK but could be better - Marseille picking up after a dreadful start, and Pisa doing very well. Madrid is satisfactory and Dublin is slightly ahead of projections, but normal cash cow at BOH is GRO. SNN will be a seasonal route and PIK is doing OK - could be ready for trying double daily again.

For me, the biggest problem with the Madrid route (and I use it alot as a connection to fly with Iberia) is the 4am checkin time to fly back to Bournemouth. 
I'm sure both Madrid and Marseilles would benifit in load numbers from the long weekend holiday traffic from later flight times but hey, beggers, choosers and all that, I'm just grateful to have the service in the first place.
