It was a private charter for a corporate day-trip to lovely Cornwall I believe.

The NQY LBA direct service is nothing new. It has been on sale for months and has already been operating for a couple of weeks or so.

It is infact a reduction on the twice weekly direct service of last summer.

Will the rebranding go as far as the aircraft in the immediate future? Hope so, I think they're gunna look pretty sweet.
I've heard that if/when they get a new aircraft then it'll be painted with a new livery to match the branding of the adverts/new website. I was also told that they won't repaint all the aircraft due to the cost and it'll only be done when necessary.

A busy day for ASW today, with their inaugural flights to Newcastle, Glasgow and Cork from PLH and NQY.

There's been some good publicity about ASW and their new services. The flights appear to be doing well too.

The new website looks good. Booked my usual weekly flight this evening and it was as easy as the old site, but a lot prettier!!

I wonder if either ASW or Skybus will give NQY/SOU a go now that Flybe have scrapped their planned service?

i dont think that WOW have the aircraft available at present for any further expansion ??

im just guessing that flymaybe dropped the service before it started due to poor sales? if they would of been using 50 seater aircraft then i cant see WOW taking it on and managing to fill a dh8-300 ?

perhaps skybus if they choose to expand further ?

also on the subject does anyone have an opinion regarding expansion of the fleet and further expansion of routes?
im sure that something new could be done from BRS as well as further from NQY and PLH ?

In view of that I would doubt any other airline would consider it however I suppose IOS may look into SOU-NQY-IOS if they don't already offer this.
They offer a direct SOU-IOS service

however ATC would not allow this due to the ATC channels or something
Can you elaborate on this?

What do you mean by ATC Channels? and which ATC agency do you understand to be the one refusing the routes??

I don't know I am afraid - this was just news along a long grapevine so cannot expand on it. I am not familiar with ATC routing so not sure....sorry. To be honest, based on information sourced since my previous post and that the original source does not seem to be reliable I doubt that this was the reason.

It wouldn't surprise me though if the main factor was poor sales.....I wouldn't have thought that there would be sufficient demand to operate a SOU flight. The majority of traffic I expect would be coming into NQY for summer rather than going to SOU....

Whats happening at Air southwest the last couple of days they have cancelled quite a few flights , why have they not used another aeroplane. ?
It really messed up a business friend of mine plans. We had high hopes when the airline anounced flights from Plymouth to Glasgow, Newcastle, dublin etc. There were adverts all over plymouth about it.
It turns out the majority of the flights are via Newquay first , but i don't recall the adverts pointing that out. I live in Liskeard so i'm better off going down to Newquay.
