Chidken Sangwich. Nice. When we list the right airline will you confirm it from you position of knowledge?

I sincerely hope it's not Eastern Airways.

Shame they don't have some long distance metal. They could've been paid to fly from BFS to the US.

The reason there was a bit of 'buzz' re the airport yesterday was due to the fact that the Derry Journal ran as it's main opinion piece an article asking what is happening as regards the London route and it pointed out that the last London flight out is 25th March with no sign of any replacement carrier starting the next day.

So it's the end of the week nearly and is there any update for the funded PSO funded route from the rate paying funded CODA airport that the executive are also going to fund by the tune of 8 million ?. Will it be open on Tuesdays. Are the EU going to investigate all this funding only to declare it as illegal state aid.

PSOs may well run all over Europe however the facility is receiving funding from the local ratepayers who already subsidise it. Add in the the promised funding from the executive and this could be the crux. A total vanity project and that money would be best spent in social care

With the economic value airports offer to a region I would dispute that statement, of course there's no reasonable argument to be had when all some people wish is for the facility to close.

But the facility does not bring any economic value to the region it supposedly serves though if you do the maths.

I was wondering when real genius would turn up. Read Speedbird's post and then crawl back under your rock.

And other than bringing your demented agenda wherein LDY, BHD and BE should all cease to exist, what is it you're bringing?!

An independent study found that for every pound spent on LDY, at least three is generated. There's the maths. Even you should be able to grasp that.

Haha your deluded mate. For the record I don't think BHD should not exist and also BE need to contract to survive due to poor route choices, leases and current share price and added the Heathrow fiasco going up against the big BA. So provide your research about how much CODA generates. Was it done by a local primary school ?
