That was flybe's last service to LDY for 2011 wasn't it? Will they send a spare aircraft over to take the final departing passengers back to Manchester?
EDIT - looks like they have sent another plane over to LDY to complete their schedule.

LDY-FAO 2012 now on sale. The schedule is identical to Summer 2011 with the Sunday and Thursday flights. I'm glad RYR seem to be on the ball regarding releasing the LDY routes earlier this year.
Agreed Scodaman.
I have booked two returns to STN in November. Though I must admit, I wasn't going to get NI-LON returns cheaper anywhere else. The most I paid was £35.00 rtn, including card fee (which I wish they'd just add to their basic fares).

I seen a poster in a shop today advertising an Open Shopping Evening at the Tax Free Shop within the airport for Tues 04th Oct from 7pm - 9pm. It states that the General Public are welcome and 20% discount is given on the night. Car parking is free and no identification required.
I've purchased in the shop before and must admit their prices are fantastic. I bought my partner Paco Rabanne Lady Millions for £48 while Debenhams price is £60. So on the night this fragrance would work out at £38.40. £22 cheaper than Debenhams. I think i might attend, anyone else?

Ryanair have changed there LDY-FAO Sunday flight to a 1235 departure, they didn't seem to give much notice. Although it is a much better time to be going on hols.
Also the Sunday STN Winter flights are now 1225 & 2125 departures. Is the now late departure to try and cater for some of the PAX who would've been getting the Monday am service?

I think we can presume Glasgow, Liverpool and Stansted will appear at some stage but what about Tenerife or worse still Alicante?
They only ran Alicante for 2 months this year and left it pretty late but still got 84% loads even with the empty first and last flights being divided over 2 months. What more could they ask for? OK, so that says nothing about yields but if the flight is axed I have to say they played a large part in its demise. . . .

Northern I'll certainly ask my sources but where are LHR gonna squeeze another domestic route into there already limited slots? Which carrier would be willing to try it, I doubt BA and EI would try it.
P.S - I apologise for my terrible spelling on some contributions... contributing on my phone can be somewhat frustrating!
LDY-LHR will never happen in my opinion. Slots at LHR at too valuable/expensive to use on another domestic route. The only way I could see an LHR route would be if EI moved one of its flights up from BFS, but that is highly unlikely too.
What I believe to be more likely is BE starting LDY-LGW, perhaps as soon as spring. They've cut flights from BHD to Doncaster and Liverpool, and add to this the new aircraft deliveries, then there's some hope with the spare airframes they're going to have.
Further add to this the pretty large events in Derry next year, which will undoubtedly attract quite a few visitors.
The timetabling of LDY-STN for the summer will be interesting given the loads over the last six months or so.
As ever with LDY, fingers crossed.

Probably a couple of glitches which will soon be fixed. I notice the route map no longer has Manchester or Paris on it. If they were expecting it to return, it would seem awful silly to alter the map, only to change it back. Alicante is also listed as a Summer 2012 route...
