Wow, there sure is a heck of experience out there! I am sorry for the guys and gals that got the no. But it seems most of you are already in bred and butter so it should not be too bad news for you.
Do not quote me on this, but hearing of the type of people that received a PFO is making me believe they are looking for pilots that meet their stated hour requirements only just. This is for two reasons: It was made mention earlier that the CAA was on their case, demanding more experience throughout the company. I could imagine the CAA had a say in setting the mark as to whom to hire. So it would make a whole lot of sense for easy to hire people that do not excel their requirement by much to only keep the CAA happy. The obvious other advantages are - something RYR Training keeps stressing too so I hear - people with only little experience can be moulded in more easily and are more likely to accept lower Ts and Cs.
Further I believe the last and just as equally as important loop to jump through was the first two untimed profiling exercises. Those had obviously been made by people involved in flight ops and were specifically addressing issues eJ Captains seem to be facing on a day-to-day basis with their present set of FOs. So if you did not exactly match their preferred profile you would be out of the race. The other stuff that many here suspect to have been the issue for being sent a no, in my book, only played a minor role.

Piloto 2011,i think your 100% right.
the only people ive heard not having received any bad news are, myself included, under the age of 25,and barely meeting the 1500TT requirement with heavy turboprop/regional jet experience!

The question is... Has anybody passed? Because all my colleagues did not pass neither.
3500 hours and more than 2000 medium jet experience.
In my honest opinion Easyjet did not played a fair match and the real requirements are not clear.
Good luck!

Also got the rejection today. In all honesty exactly what I,d expected. I think I did ok on the tests but I believe this whole recruitment episode has agendas beyond looking for pilots. I would not have wanted to pay for the training or accept one of their lousy contracts. I applied for the same reason as others have given, speculative. Over the last decade this Company has been reprehensible in the way they have treated professional pilots and has been a major player in debasing the job of piloting aeroplanes. What I am impressed with is the teamwork of my colleagues on this forum who have tried to care and share information so that we could all get jobs. I wish you all well and hope you are fortunate in being employed by a reputable employer.

nice letter
5000 TT , turboprop captain non UK.
I've received the nice letter with the bad news too. I am wondering why so man of you speculate on a shortlisting based on experience. At this stage the applicants experience can't be processed automatically since it was not an input in the online application form. So far, this information can only be found in the CVs that we have uploaded and I really doubt that at this stage the recruitment team has been able to screen 3500 doc or pdf files to filter us. Anyway, I am sure that those who passed deserve it, I congratulate them and I wish them the best for the next assessments.

PFO club member too. 1800TT, 1500 medium jet, white, medium build, right handed. I'm not one for conspiracy theories and wish all those still in with a chance the best of luck!

Bloody hell!!!
It all seems simple to me guys; they got enough TR guys to not worry about non-TR. From all the PFOs listed so far I think one had limited Airbus experience, the rest haven't. I am ex-mil (UK) and now Boeing rated and me and my very similar friend got PFO. I doubt it's anything other than they cast their net wide and caught enough TR guys to not worry about us.
The paranoia and arrogance of some people to imagine some of the situations suggested here is remarkable!!!
