Hey everyone. I've just jumped into the water and I want to say a big thank you to everyone who's posted such useful info in this thread that has undoubtedly contributed to my successful application. All the best to everyone else out there. Cheers.

Well done FLYBORIS and welcome to the pool. Been swimming since June - after yesterday's phonecalls to some of us, I'm beginning to think I can see the shore! 737 rating ...

So does anyone think BA will open the selection doors in the near future, especially with BMI taking up the numbers needed over the next few years.
Would like to take (another!) shot at getting through!

Swimmers Contact List
Chaps and Chapesses,
Is it worthwhile putting together a "Hold Pool Email List"? (this will of course be seperate to PPRUNE)
I dont mind administering it.
If you want to be added, PM me for further info.

I hope the water's warm!
I am pleased to say that I just joined the pool last week as well and couldn't be happier! I did the day 1 in August and day 2 in Nov. I have a couple of thousand on 737 and current with under 1000 on the 320.
I expect I will be going 320, so does anyone have any idea about the numbers in the pool, and what the likely wait will be?
Congratulations to all in the same position and good luck to all who are still going through.

Shapes, Numbers and Moving Cross.
I saw a while back a company called www.pilottesting.info but there link seems to be down, anybody have any sugesstions.
Thanks

OMDB,
The Pilapt of pilotest web does, I am not sure if it looks the same as BA's one but definitely has the 3 annoying excercises all mixed together.
since you brought up the Pilapt discussion again...anyone who can finally clear up how the 2 deviation bars work. I think we all agree the vertical works Anti ILS (i.e. dev bar to the right stick has to go left) way but what about the Horizontal one?
thanks

hi guys sorry to change the topic, even though im still in flight school i was just wondering whether BA are stirct on ATPL exam marks and if they ask to see your grades during interview or if you have to declare them during the application process. Am i right in thinking that exam marks are only looked at when applying for your 1st job and that after its all about your flying hours?
many thanks
many thanks

I've had 11 pilot interviews over the years including two for BA and was never asked about exam results.

Hi Bugspeed,
You seem to have decent contacts. Congratulations on also getting the good news last week. To that end, do you have any idea of the length of wait we could be in for, or do you think courses are being accelerated next year?
I was hoping for a start date before next summer, I'm current on the 320 so expecting that although I have the longhaul hours......
Cheers
