jsb22 17th Feb 2017 12:46

Hey guys !

If you have applied one month and a week ago and you have no news from them, It looks bad for you I guess.

To all people who applied, what are your backgrounds ? I mean education work etc..

I have applied on Thursday 16/02.

Julian

vieaero 19th Feb 2017 12:54

Hey Julian,
I have a diploma in mechanical engineering and now studying to become an ATC...
I'm also 'PPLised', w/ night rating and >100 hours.
What about you ?

jsb22 19th Feb 2017 18:56

Hey !

I have a master's degree in computer sciences.

I'm asking this question just to know what profiles have been selected by SIA for further interviews. Have you applied ?

Julian

rokapasha 19th Feb 2017 20:41

Hello Julian,

Are you referring to the international Application or Singaporean national application?
I have applied 5th of Jan on the international scheme and got no response.
I have a Bachelor in Aerospace Engineering.
How about you? you got any response or aware of anyone that got a response.
If yes, what are your qualifications ... etc.

Regards,
Mark

vieaero 20th Feb 2017 11:46

Yes I have applied the 5th of january when the cadet program opened for all nationalities. I've read on another forum that it could be very long (6 months, maybe 1 year) before we could be called for an interview because they have received a lot of applications.

Julian how do you know about if you don't hear back by 6 weeks it means it's over?

I don't think any international applicant has heard back.

a320qatar 23rd Feb 2017 20:24

This is the other forum: [Official] SIA Cadet Pilot - www.hardwarezone.com.sg

I am almost finishing my Bachelors in Aerospace Engineering at Emirates Aviation University.

Julian how do you know about if you don't hear back by 6 weeks it means it's over?
Because of my experience in job research and my knowledge of computer systems. The most I had was for Microsoft. They called me 1 month later and I was very surprised.

Human Resource staff does not check every applications. They have a software that displays what profiles fit more or less well. Of course the best ones are at the top of the list.

But...hey, maybe I'm wrong ! Maybe it is different for this kind of opportunity.

You see this is aviation and flying, it is very different to other industries. I interviewed 3 months ago for a different course and i still don't have a reply (no one who interviewed at the same time did ... results aren't out yet. Last year i waited 2 months after application (for a different airline) to be called. Aviation really is unique in this area, other industries bet back a lot quicker.

xxj77 25th Feb 2017 16:34

Hi is there any female applicant here?

Does MBA or BBA include in Poytechnic degree? Or it has to be Science related?

Hi Guys,

Hey folks, I am interested in SIA cadet programme. I wanted to know if MBA OR BBA degree is considered as a Polytechnic degree ? Or it has to be science related?

And does anyone have any clue about the total fees for the course & is it fully self-funded?

Thanks!

BravoCharlir92 3rd Mar 2017 03:57

Does anyone know what the equivalent of a polytechnic diploma in Australia is? and does it need to be in a certain field?
Thanks

Scott 92 6th Mar 2017 07:53

Are they stop taking international applicants? The link for international applicants has gone missing.

Indeed.

Either they have reached the maximum amount of applicants either there have found their cadets.

flying.monkeyz 6th Mar 2017 14:16

Or maybe opening to international applicants is just a marketing ploy.

johnvak 6th Mar 2017 15:42

it seems the program for international students is closed. Anyone who got a reply for interview or rejection? I applied in January but no answer.

Scott 92 7th Mar 2017 00:32

I think nobody gets any responds from SIA.

N5748E 7th Mar 2017 09:45

SFC is at full capacity for the rest of this year. Don't think they'll be anymore intakes for a while.

Logan803 8th Mar 2017 06:00

Hi,
Was wondering whether anyone took the SIA cadet pilot aptitude test today morning (3rd march '17). If so, has anyone received a reply for the 2nd interview yet?

This is the link:https://sia.silkroad.com/epostings/i...utm_medium=CPM

And it's working, what you're talking about?

germanpilot01 8th Mar 2017 13:57

Answer

Received anyone a message or invitation who is not singapore citizen ?

Applied on 22.february and still get no message

johnvak 8th Mar 2017 16:14

I have noticed that till now only local applicants have been through interview . I hope that if we have not get any reply is not so bad as long as we do not have a negative answer. Probably the international applicants have to wait... Still this is just an opinion, not a fact.

N5748E 9th Mar 2017 00:22

Most likely the only foreign applicants they'll look at is the Malaysians, and the Indian nationals.

When you get on that web page : https://www.singaporeair.com/fr_FR/f...pilots-career/

International option in "Application" menu is not available anymore. That's what we are talking about. But indeed, it is still working if you have saved the direct link.
