None have been contacted. As what someone did mention earlier, unofficially when they say international applicants, they are referring to M'sians and Indian Nationals.

Has anyone received their first interview results yet?
|
Hey guys,
I have just gotten my 1st interview like only on the 9th May (Tuesday Evening, 6.02pm), and I applied on the 5th Feb same year. (Waited around 3 mths .. or slightly more) It is pretty shocking for me, as back then I was just trying out my luck. As of now I will be going for eye test at Aeromedical Centre. |
Aeromedical in the morning, then rush to Mount E to see Eye doc and the ENT specialist.

Guess no one got called in eh?
|
They did get the call, they are just not in this forum. There's a Singapore based forum where all of them are chatting on.
Bad news is all of them are singaporeans. |
Apparently they're taking applications again?
|
I think they do and I applied to it again :) This time the application steps were changed. There was this box which gave priority to Malaysians, Indians, Chinese and of course Singaporeans. Update me as well if thr are any rumors (Y)

To & fro airfare from India.
I have just completed the application procedure.
I am an Indian Citizen based in India. have 1 question. like normal overseas interviews, where the interviewer bears the to & fro fare, does SIA do the same for this Cadet Pilot program? |
What should we enter in identiy type, identity number box?
I m indian. |
I had applied on Feb 1 as an international but havent got any response so i applied this time again. It seems they are looking for Malaysians or Indians. We have no chance :(

Hi all,
I have just applied the program. I am Hongkonger who stays in HK for most of my life. Do you know when SIA firstly notify candidates of upcoming process? Also, is there any study group here in telegram or something similar? May I join it? |

How reliable is the SIA Cadet Pilot PRogram ? Do we get immediate employment ?
And what kind of CV they prefer for this Ab-Initio Programme ? I just submitted my CV so when will I get a call ? I'm new to this industry. Need some guidance> |

Just to get something straight here after reading the previous posts on the thread, contrary to what everyone is saying, it is not true that you have to be from the RSAF or be and RSAF reject. This programme is offered for those with 0 flying experience, I've clarified this with the HR and a current captain currently flying the A330 fleet himself at the SQ booth at the Aviation Open house last Thursday. Hope this clarifies for those Singaporeans/ PRs aspiring to be one with SQ.
|
I dropped by the Aviation Open House last week and yes, what @n350xwb said is true. SIA has pilots from all walks of life including Doctors,Bankers and even Diploma holders. I asked a lady from the booth and found out SIA are having interviews every single week. That being said, I can't help but to think they're able to afford to wipe out every candidate in that week.

Have you applied? All the best. But please note that SQ is slowly cutting down on overseas applicants, Singaporeans and PRs are more preferred and this is to due to the fact that people are complaining as SQ used to hire too many multi national pilots and leaving some Singaporeans to face intense competition or even jobless or unemployed. But nonetheless, please do not let this fact discourage you from pursuing your dreams, what I meant is the company prefers local candidates but this does not mean that overseas applicants do not stand a chance, they still do, if they have the passion/correct qualities and display the correct attitude If you have applied, be patient, it will usually take about roughly 4 months(or even above) for SQ to reply and invite you for the interview(based on what I read on the other forum). All the best! p.s I'm an Indian too! |
