aravindsasi 7th Oct 2015 03:13

I am from India don't have a Singapore PR, will they consider my application?

wonderland 7th Oct 2015 15:01

Nope... No..

CloudFly 14th Oct 2015 02:11

Guys, any updates on the interviews? Course start? :D

I'm still waiting..

FlyingDoc7 14th Oct 2015 16:28

Hi everyone.

I have applied for the SIA program 4 days ago. I am 29 years old, Medical Doctor in specialty training in Europe and ICAO PPL holder. Could someone tell me if i should have any hope of being contacted for an interview? i do not have PR in Singapore but i fulfill all the criteria for obtaining one.

I would greatly appreciate any reply be it positive or negative

Good luck to all the fellows who are in the interview process or expect for a call. All of us choose this career conciously and we should know what to expect and what not to!

Greetings!

Hi there, does anyone know of any site where we can get some practice for the aptitude tests?
Cheers.

CptWiz,

May I know in which section did you not do well in?

Personally i misread the instructions for the pedal and kinda do it in the opposite of what I am supposed to do.

Hi Guys,

SIA Round 2 Interview - Aptitude Tests

Hi guys,

I passed the first round of the SIA cadet pilot interview. I'm scheduled to do the aptitude test on 12/02/2016. Was wondering if anyone here is going for that slot as well. Also, any idea where I an get some free online pilot aptitude tests? Any help would be much appreciated.

Sincerely,
KingZul90

When can we reapply for interview

Hi, i didnt make it through the first interview last year and was wondering when can i reapply for an interview?

Currently SQ is still looking for pilots so i tried to submit my CV but it didnt go through and cited that i have already made a general submission of my CV.

Recreating a new CV gets the same result too.

My last application was in August 2015.

Cheers
Anthony

CaptCJ 12th Feb 2016 21:27

Waiting for result

I did my 1st interview on the 30th Jan. I guess you also did the interview on the same day? Currently I'm waiting for result. :D

CloudFly 16th Feb 2016 07:44

Still waiting for a 1st interview since my application in August last year..

@Anthony: You should be able to apply 6 months after your first application (by right).

Keith chong 4th Mar 2016 14:45

Hi all,

thanks for the sharing on the experiences and process in applying Cadet pilot Programme in SIA, i am currently a Singapore PR and i have O level and local Diploma from Nanyang Poly, 26 this year. Appreciate if anyone can suggest whether I fulfil the criteria?

wonderland 8th Mar 2016 10:02

Access Denied.

anthonyzZ 13th Apr 2016 13:10

CloudFly, i also heard that one can reapply again after 6 months. but applying through the same channel gives me this message:

"Anthony, we appreciate your interest.
However, our records indicate that you have already made a general submission of your résumé/CV.
Please select and apply for another opening by clicking on the Job Listings link below."

i have tried re-doing the entire resume process from scratch but still get the same result - u know how time consuming the process is if u have done it :ugh:.

Anyone here can advice on how to reapply?

CloudFly 14th Apr 2016 08:50

You can't reapply for now. That's all I know.

Essopeus 1st Sep 2016 05:02

It looks like it. Competition gonna be tougher now. Are they now the only airline in the world which offers sponsored cadet scheme with allowance to all nationalities?

Hi everybody,
Can anybody who has applied for the ab-initio program give me some hints regarding the CV. Since I am from Germany, I'm more or less only used to CVs which we use here in Germany/Europe. Is there anything special or very different which is important when applying in SG? I mean of course, I am addressing my previous education (school/university) and my work experience (internships, full-time jobs etc.) but is there anything one should definitely avoid to adress ...?

Btw. does one also have to submit a motivation letter?

Thanks everybody for your assistance :).

Hi John, did you obtain an answer from SIA after to cplete the application form? at the moment i got only the confirm registration mail, no else.
Howewer, i think you could find too much material like for example watching videos about interviews, reading articles about the company and be ready to answer to recruiters; i think this, like for every job and in every situation, when you be under pressure is necessary study to don't waste your chance.

Hi, guys. I have a question for ones who did the first interview, Are they taking the height measurement with or without shoes? cause I'm like 163.5cm without shoes, but with shoes I'm more than 165cm.

Another question: Is there anyone who receive interview message without sending his cover letter? I mean how they choose people for interview? sorry for talking a lot , but because it's my first time to apply.

@aravindsasi

There're two programs, one for Singaporean candidates and the other for international candidates. make sure that the Tracking Code is 711-233 (international program).

a320qatar 20th Jan 2017 20:22

Hi Everybody,
I also received the automated registration mail. I would like to know more about the interview process:
1. How long do they take to give the results?
2. Do they use PILAPT or the Compass test or something else?
3. What are the stages of the process> Do they have group assessments as well?

Thanks in advance

jesjohnsebastian 21st Jan 2017 03:52

automated registration mail as in, the one you get after submitting the online CV and form?
if that is the one, then even i am on the same page waiting to know about the second stage and how to go with it! as far as i know all 3 stages (prelim, snr management, aptitude) interview will happen at Singapore! nothing apart from that.

a320qatar 21st Jan 2017 07:09

Thank you @jesjohnsebastian yeh the mail you get after submitting everything, I heard sme ppl were struggling with the submitting process.
Can't wait till they give results :ugh:
