hey thats a great news
even i did not get any info from them
i hope that 26th was the last date and then sat and sunday to add on it so reply mite start from this week or mite be next
i have heard that we need to pay some initial fees for their initial assessment wherein they will see if we are fit or not
any views?
in their faq doc which they sent in the mail it was clearly written that they wont guarantee me a job even after tr
that was quite amazing for me
but after hearing this i m lil inclined on the happier side but not much

You both are right on the Indigo-CAE "track record" thing.
A good number of those who opted for the self sponsored program (in 2007/08 ?) have got inducted into Indigo.
However, we should also consider a few other things :
Right now, the situation is definitely a LOT different from what it was in 2006-2008 (boom time).
Hence, the reliability or track record of Indigo-CAE or for that matter, any airline cadet program can largely be attributed to the prevailing market conditions.
In order to determine how much of a chance you might have in getting inducted after the Type Rating program, you would need to know exactly how many Letters of Intent (LOI's) have been issued by Indigo to prospective candidates.
Here's some other gossip thats floating around :
It is quite possible that Indigo has already selected candidates whom they are going to induct (jugaad-pulls ?)
In addition to this, they will send several other students to CAE for the type rating course.
Remember, CAE has no role in selection of candidates for the SSTR program, only indigo does.
In the end, CAE makes good profit, and Indigo gets pilots for free without any kind of investment.
All the candidates get what they paid for (A320 rating).
Sadly, it again boils down to money. Those who have lots and lots of cash gathering dust, it is no big deal for them, and no great disappointment either (in case they dont get inducted later).
For the others who might be considering loans etc to fund this program, it is again a very big risk.

what about Indigo's cadets who were sent for training to Sabena (arizona I believe...) , have they been inducted ? and have all the guys who did their type rating from CAE (and other places ) with an LOI from Indigo been recruited already ?
It would be great to get answers for the above
they are planning to get 9 aircraft this year...which means they'll need around 50 FOs.... wouldn't the number of people I've mentioned above sum up to at least 50 ?

all CAE- LOI holders have been taken by indigo...all are flying...
there were about 30-32 sabena cadets in total...some of them are type rated and i think doing supis right now...some are about to go for type rating....rest probably doing conversion, etc....they are being taken slowly...
I think if one gets LOI thru this CAE assessment, its quite safe to do the TR as the LOIs will be honoured by indigo....just my view tho...

@ Shanx,
I know times have changed but 6E has made it a point to recruit all those who got an LOI from them, as google rightly said.
Secondly, the Type and the huge cost does not come into the picture until IndiGo asks you to go and get typed, and I suppose they do this only when there is an absolute need for the same.
Thirdly, in such a lifeless AvSector currently, anything is worth a shot!
My 0/02c.
