if ur application status turns blank, very likely you have been rejected. the few status u will see are "application", "interviewing" and blank. try applying again! dont give up!

Anyone being called up for interviews recently? The interview scene seems to have gone cold after mid April...
I had applied in early April and found my status changed to “blank”, when I checked the next day.
Hopefully SIA will look into the “Blank Status” and rectify it.
I would rather be told that I don’t meet their requirements, than be kept waiting (patiently).

David Clark Headsets
Hi there and congrats to all the new cadets starting their training in SFC!
I am selling my David Clark headsets that I've used during my flying training there.. Still in very good condition, comfortable, price negotiable, and I will throw in my headset bag for free as well.. I felt that having my own headset really helped made my training somewhat comfortable and convenient...
For those of you who are interested, do drop me a PM ya? While stocks last.. Thanks!

Hi!
To people who have yet received any reply yet do not give up hope yet! I am sure they will get back to you if you meet the requirements. So it does not matter if your status is blank or whatsoever.
To coolonu and those who are going for their first interview, just be yourself and answer truthfully to the interviewers. They asked me questions like why I wanted to be a pilot, my background and also some basic questions about flying. Be prepared for it. Do not get intimidated or panic if you feel any of the interviewers got abit unfriendly. All the best!
I just received email from SIA and will be going for my final interview and aptitude test soon. Good luck to all!

All the best for your final interview.

X-Posting what I already posted in the Cadet Pilots - India Thread.
Just came to know from a friend that they ask for an Assurance of 50 Lakhs. Past SQ Cadets, can you please shed some light on this ?
Regds,

Hi all, i'm seriously considering applying for the SIA cadet programme. However, i will only be turning 23 this coming august and i'm well aware of the 26 year old age restriction set by the RSAF. With that said, i have completed the RSAF compass test a few years back and wasn't selected then. And i've heard rumors that SIA do take in cadets under the age of 26 as long as they've been rejected by RSAF?
Another concern that i do have is that i'm currently still completing my bachelor degree at SMU. Nonetheless, i'm willing to put it on hold for the cadet programme if i'm selected.
So my question is, would it be recommended for me to for me to wait till i'm older to apply? or should i go ahead and apply now?

apply now n get a rejection for being underaged. go ahead n try then tell us what happens, it's a rumour n nobody can confirm, perhaps you can be the one to confirm it
n if you get selected for the course, you can throw away your place in SMU, unless you're thinking of breaking bond or quitting 7yrs later

@shyong
Welcome to PPrune.
Like what Stallone have said, If you are adventurous, you could apply now to test the system and see if you get rejected for being underage. That way, we'll all know if SIA takes in Singaporeans below the age of 25.5 who also have been rejected by RSAF. If you do get selected, then good luck and congrats! I guess you could really forget about completing your studies at SMU.
However, I would choose to complete the degree first before making that an application to SIA. 23 to 25 isn't really a long time. Take it as 2 over plus years for you build your maturity and prepare for the interviews. Patience is virtue.
