There is ongoing recruitment all the time. Log onto the SQ website and put in your application there.

You can be 'chopped' at any stage of training from the first day you go to OBS. For not being up to standard, for disciplinary reasons, etc. Getting accepted for training at SFC does not guarantee you will come out as an FO at the other end.

Good luck!

I think Course 131 attended OBS in 2007 not Sept 2008.

As for internet connection,
Seletar : suscribe ur own

Jandakot : free, but slow and not unlimited. Only good for checking emails, msn and light surfing. Video call is ok but call drops easily. If u want to play online games, or download stuff, suscribe your own.

Maroochydore: suscribe your own if u want to surf in your own room. But cadets can go to the college at night to use the college internet. It's free and fast but troublesome as you can only use it after office hours and the LAN points are limited.

I'm afraid the internet at Maroochy (SFC) can only be used for checking emails.

1) 6 months grd school in Seletar + air grading
2) Basic Training at Jandakot - 8 months on Baron Bypass, 12 months on Baron
3) Advanced Training at Maroochydore - 80 days.

Thats the sequence

Nope. Trainees are not entitled to any leave. The only exception is compassion leave.

You're welcome Kenchua.

Do not be shy to ask any questions. You're entitled to put across any enquiries you've got if it concerns you. After all i guess this is what this forum or the internet is for right?

Your questions are perfectly normal. Most people share similiar concerns to yours as well when they apply for this job. The differences are perhaps they already have friends in the system whom they can turn to or they have no balls to ask in a public forum.

Its good to ask questions but make sure you use the search function to ensure your question has not been asked to death before

All the best to you should you pursue your aviation career.

Course SIA140 went on september 5 last year. They're still in seletar - finishing their ATPL ground school. I think they're next in line to go to Jandakot soon.

Hi all, I need some help with the cadet application. At the job application portalportal, I saw this staff referal link, Singapore Airlines
Currently, I have a contact whom I know and is a captain with SQ and is willig to do a referal for me. But the thing is that the portal ask for a password and email which I do not have. Am I supposed to ask him to drop a note to the HR department before i will be able to access this or is there an alternative method for a staff referal. Thanks in advance. Please PM me if need be. All the best to all who are waiting for their application.
