What a lot of you are forgetting is not all Virgin Blue FOs have come of Metro's etc. Many have come from the RAAF (F111, Hercs, Orions, BBJs), others from Business jets (BBJs, Challengers, etc),...

DJ never advertised for DEC's for the Ejet, the only advertised for 'Type Rated'.

The internal advertised Command positions were for Sydney, Melbourne or Perth, not Brisbane...

Min days off per 28 days for both fleets is 11 days one roster and the next 12days. Most pilots are getting 12-16 days off per roster when you include 'blank' days.

Depending on the base 3 - 4 day...

The E-jet network is growing weekly hence the need for type rated pilots ASAP.

Can anyone give me information on what a current roster is like for a Virgin Blue First Officer, the salary for Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 and what this averages out per month?

The Townsville refueller informs me Solomon Airlines have extended the lease on the 73 for another 2 months...so I guess that means no AOC for SAW.

Not a very good start for a new operator trying...

It's time for the government to get with the times and remove the cap and curfew at Sydney. Modern aircraft, including the turboprops can be operated very efficiently if given the opportunity.
