I select one turn of nose up trim during the pre-take off checks, which puts me at Vy with hands off the stick. The trim tab position can be checked by looking diectly at it.

If you have just passed your PPL, I would recommend learning more first before thinking of buying an aircraft. You can not just put a chute on an aircraft even if it was a good idea....
